Vehicle Detail

This was my favorite MBZ but like anything in life one gets tired after a while. It was always maintained by GermanTech in Marina del Rey till I parked it where it sits since last 3 years or so. It was my daily driver before leaving it for a few days under the oak tree that turned out to be over 3 years now. It will start but I'm not sure it will go up as it runs on hydraulic power pump and these 6.9 power houses have always some problems with the automatic suspension lift system. I had two valves replaced by GermanTech a year before it was parked. It always used to go up within minutes after starting the car. Those who know these cars know what I'm talking about. All 6.9 450SEL cars come with adjustable suspension for rough to fine road driving etc. This car is full of Oak tree leaves as you can see in the photographs. I didn't bother to have my Gardner clean it to make it look pretty as I am getting rid of most of my cars (48+) and lost interest in them plus the County has levied a 150/month fine for open storage. So I wanna get rid all of my cars without wasting any of my time in cleaning them up, starting them to make them presentable. I know I'll loose a lotta money in selling this and other cars in the condition they are but sometime you have to make choices. I have absolutely no interest in any cars any more (unless its a 300 SL Gullwing or a Dusenberg.. ha ha!) I am not at all technical expert and cannot answer any technical question except I can tell you that this car can be started with little or no problem once the Oak tree leaves are removed from the engine compartment, take out the old gas from the gas tank and replace it with new, put a new battery and inflate one or two tires which are in good shape. Since I used to drive this car almost daily and always maintained it by the German car specialist I can't foresee any serious problem with this car except what I have stated above of how to get it going. I may be wrong about it but logically speaking and knowing well that I have started my 1955 Mrcedes 300 Audenaur Convertible a week ago after having it sit for over 9 years. Mechanic took the old gas, motor oil, power steering oil and installed the new battery and in less than 5 minutes of starting it fired right up. So I believe this may be the same situation with this 6.9 but I won't guarantee and be liable for saying so!!! It's a NO RESERVE' auction with very low starting bid of $500. I know this car will only be attractive who are looking for a 6.9 because others won't know much about it. Highest bidder can steal this car. My loss is definitely your gain if you are looking for original NO RUST California car. paint and body is in great shape as the pictures show. Interior needs to be taken care of though. Winner party is required to pay $250 via paypal within 24 hours after the auction is ended on eBay. Remaining can be wired through your bank, or cashier's check unless you wanna pay all through paypal but if you do, then you must pay the Paypal's rip-off fee! All pictures are taken this afternoon so you'll get what you see. All tires are in good condition and so are the original factory wheels. It has a factory sunroof that used to work perfect before parking but I can't say it will work or not at this point. Transmission worked perfectly and was always maintained by the German car specialist in Marina del Rey, CA. Everything in this car worked perfectly before parking it where she sits today! Trunk has some parts that we left there after having it picked up from GermanTech shop. I don't know what they are. I also have complete set of side mouldings of the cars as shown in the picture. These mouldings were taken off for installing new rubber underneath of them by the mechanic but since then I've left the car parked under the Oak tree as I started driving my 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet which I still drive almost on daily basis which is not for sale at all as it is my daily driver other than SL63. For any questions that are not highly technical I can answer. However, if you are local (within LA or Ventura County) you are welcome to inspect this car. It is a sold rust-free California running car requiring starting and general service as stated above. Legally speaking, I must state that this car is being sold on AS IS and WHERE IS basis without any expressed or implied warranties or promises. Buyer is responsible to inspect the car at their own convnience. Buyer must remove this car within 10 days after the end of the auction unless arranged with me for additional time. I will try to help you out but I'm loosing a lotta money on these cars as I am paying penalties to the County for open storage and storing cars without valid registration etc. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. All sales are final. If the car is not removed within an agreed time frame from my ranch in Thousasnd Oaks, I will donate it to Cars for Causes and the buyer would lose the Paypal deposit on it. So please be sure to be ready to remove the car per our stipluated arrangement. Good luck with your bidding!
