Vehicle Detail
This was a complete frame off body restoration conducted over the last 4 years. The entire car was dismantled and removed from the frame for complete restoration and modification. The frame also disassembled and sent out for satin black powdercoatingand reassembled using new performance parts and hardware. The car’s body was placed back on the framewith new rubber mounts and then the body was reassembled using new or restoredparts and hardware. Over 2,200 total hours were expended to in this car’srestoration and you must watch both videos to really understand the detail ofrestoration this car has undergone. This El Camino SS tribute car will make agreat daily driver, street fighter or drive in show car contestant. The term, “Too much to list” applies here but I believe you will find everything you'd want to know in the below information and in the 2 videos. One video documents the restoration and the other video is current condition pictures and videos. Goodrich RadialnT/A' tires. - LED light conversion I started this project over 4 years and just finished it today, 21 September 2015. The car's odometer reads 16,198 but after looking at the videos you'll realize those miles are irrelevant because of the total restoration. It basically has 50 miles on it since restoration. The engine was run on the benvh and then drivej in the car 50 miles when the car was driven for alignment, Dyno tuned, new tires and upholstery. The paint was the first thing done to the car, so it is now about 4 years old. And although not driven, it has aged from its $10,000 paint job it now shows some sign of wear and you may find minor scratches (maybe not scrstches), chips or scuffs from assembly, shrinkage, or age. But the car still looks awesome with the wet look of layers of clear. During installation of back window molding and left rear fender well trim I also found the beginnings of minor rust in the usual spot from water run off. A grest paint job for being 4 years old but look at the video to see for yourself. Maybe Im too picky becsuse this car was stripped down wnd prepared for paint. This was a complete frame off restoration and as you can see in the video, it was taken down to the nut and bolt level and then reassembled with new, rebuilt, or restored performance parts with new hardware. This is a huge effort normally used for trailer queen show cars but here you have a daily driver looking just as good at a No Reserve auction for you to get it at your price. Unfortunately health problems delayed the completion of this beautiful El Camino or it would have been done over a year ago. I now need to sell off all the projects so this beautiful frame-off restoration is up for no reserve auction. The undercarriage is immaculate and worthy of any car show so I include lots of pictures and videos of the undercarriage. I had intentions of trading this beautiful car for cash and a 2010 or newerCamaro for my daughter or cash and a late model Lexus for my mother but none ofthe offers were acceptable. Be sure to compare this El Camino to other frame-off body restorations only because it doubles the cost and time to complete. It maybe hard to find a recent body-off because the cost is ridiculous. A great car here for your break in, be the first to sit on the seats, feet on the carpet, and dyno tune for street, or strip, maybe just a sunday cruiser and enjoy thst overdrive transmission.
