G And S Motors LLC WeLoveCoolCars.com +1 828 654-3222 1990 Jaguar XJS V8 - Chevy Corvette powered NO RESERVE AUCTION - HIGH BID WINS This car has sold TWICE on ebay and although I had a little bit of contact with the first buyer, neither buyer has so much as given me a deposit or inspected the car or anything. HERE ARE THE PREVIOUS TWO BUYERS NAMES AND EBAY ID'S. I WISH I COULD PUT THEIR EMAIL ADDRESSES. AUCTION ENDED SEPT 17. She never contacted me AT ALL Viviam Santelices ebay id: fla.viv Buyer's shipping address: Viviam Santelices 4000 NE 169th St Apt 501 North Miami Beach, FL 33160-3207 AUCTION ENDED AUG 10. Car dealer in Florida. I was going out of town to Pebble Beach, so we planned the pickup and payment for two weeks later. He never contacted me and never answered my emails. FINALLY, I got him on the phone and he said "my customer changed his mind". Dennis Davis wayned132013 Buyer's shipping address: Dennis Davis 4619helenastneast Saint Petersburg, FL 33703 NOW ONTO THE CAR DESCRIPTION I bought Jaguar as part of a HUGE Jaguar E-type barn find a couple of years ago. (Here’s an article from Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car / April, 2013 about that barn find). I don’t know a lot about it. it didn’t have any paperwork. It does run and drive, but for the purpose of me selling and you buying this car, we are considering this car a PROJECT CAR. Also, this car has a “SALVAGED” California title. It "sold" on ebay several weeks ago and is being relisted because of non-payment. You are buying a car that certainly needs work done to the steering box and the brakes, it needs new rear tires (see below) and it leaks oil. That is the minimum it needs. Again, consider this car a PROJECT CAR if you are buying it. YOU CAN SEE OVER 100 PICS BY CLICKING HERE The paint is a 5 out of ten. It appears to have some hard water stains and “swirls” from being buffed, but I think that a good detail and clay bar would bring it right back to life. The interior is good. you can see significant wear on the piping and bolster of the drivers seat, where you would enter the car. That’s probably the worst spot and I think the rest is generally good. The top looks to be in good condition, with what appears to be original glass. IT WORKS TOO. IT GOES UP AND DOWN. The chrome and brightwork appears to be good all the way around. Those supercool Jag BBS wheels are in good condition, but it will most likely need new tires, Especially in the rear, after we did this, https://youtu.be/Du-VFo_JXMw ,I told you that we had some fun with it. This is something you won’t see many XJS’s pulling off. The electrics seem to be in good order, but I don’t think there’s any a/c and the radio requires a code to make it operational. I don’t have that code, so haven’t been able to test it. The top goes up and down. The hood (or bonnet) doesn’t stay up. You’ll need to prop something in there. HERE’S A VIDEO STARTING THE CAR, PUTTING THE TOP UP AND DOING A LITTLE BURNOUT WHAT I KNOW ABOUT IT! It was built most likely in the mid-late 90’s. it was purchased by George Eldridge in April 2000 with 39007 miles. He had a house in California and one in NC. He had a huge stockpile of Jaguar E-type chassis and parts. His widow told me that he drove this around California for a while and then shipped it to NC. George died in 2009 and a few years later, I bought what turned out to be one of the largest E-type barn finds in history and this car came with the collection. It was a typical barn find kind of car, which we cleaned up and had some fun with. I don’t know who did the work, but it appears to me to have been done by someone who knew what they were doing. it has a mid 80’s Fuel-injected Corvette engine, which fits snugly in that engine bay. If project, what systems require attention i.e. What doesn't work properly? Convertible boot cover? I'm a serious collector not a broker/dealer. Very interested but want to know what I' m buying. - fatdog1970 ________________________________ Dear fatdog1970, There is no boot cover. The Carfax only states that a salvage title was issued in 1995, but no reason for it. Here's a link to the Carfax. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ubo7fhvgdc4o7ov/CARFAX%201990%20JAGUAR%20XJS.pdf?dl=0 The car needs a lot of work, but it runs and drives. I am telling potential buyers, "consider this a project car". I don't want to make a specific list of what it needs, because i don't want to miss out something from that list and have someone complain later. If you are not a mechanic yourself, you should anticipate spending a lot of money to make this car "right". I have no idea when any work was last done to it, other than us changing the battery, oil, filter, plugs, etc, when i bought it and got it runnung. In my view, this is not a car for a serious collector, but more for an enthusiast who wants to get his hands greasy. So, I repeat here: This is a project car. It probably needs A LOT of mechanical work. If you want to "fix it up", consider that you would have to do everything to it before you bid on my auction. That's what a project car is. - welovecoolcars
