Up for your consideration is a pretty well kept 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. I bought this truck as I love the second generation 3/4 ton trucks and planned to do a cosmetic restoration to it however plans have changed and I am buying the same truck that is in mint shape. Although not in awful shape this truck will need a little tlc to make a real nice rig out of it. The body is clean and straight however the lower section of the drivers fender is rusted where the running board hardware meets the fender and the passenger fender is just starting to show its age too. I picked up a nice set of fenders (used) that will go with the truck upon sale. The paint on the hood as well as the roof has seen better days as well and I've gotten an estimate to have the fenders, hood and roof painted for $1,100 at a local reputable shop. The diamond plating is all in nice shape however will need a little buffing to bring its luster back. The interior is in very good shape. Although an SLT package the truck came with a rubber floormat instead of carpeting however the seats are in great shape, the dash isn't cracked and everything works the way it should. It still has all of the factory jack equipment and spare tire. The engine runs good as well, I just changed the oil using a OEM Mopar filter and Mobil-1 10W-30. The transmission shifts as it should and it's been serviced at 112k miles however I am unaware of what was done, it could have been just a basic service or a rebuild but the week I bought it I brought it to my local Trans shop just to have it looked at as these trucks have been known for torque converter and solenoid issues. We took it for a ride while hooked up to the scanner and it is spot on. The tires are worn however I do have a brand new set of Bridgestone Duelers that I plan to install this week. With a little elbow grease this truck will be a nice looking rig, in my opinion this generation 2500 was one of Dodges best looking trucks yet. Truck is for sale locally so auction can end at anytime. This is a cash deal only.
