Vehicle Detail
I am the secondowner of this vehicle, which I purchased in 2009, and am friendly with theoriginal owner. Overall it have about 150k miles on it. The Good: No rust! Bostig engine conversion (2.0 liter Zetec engine) with about 10k miles on it the engine. I've only put about 1000 miles on it since I installed it. Other Bostig parts: high capacity oil pan, skid plate, billet thermostat housing, AC parts, OBD extension, 4 point exhaust hanger, current engine cradle, upgraded motor mounts. Smallcar external transmissiin cooler. Stainless steel brake lines all around. Custom cross drilled and slotted rotors upfront. South African drum brakes in the rear (larger). Riding on Koni Red's but I'm also including a set of Bilstien HD's (both have only a few 100 miles on at most) CLK320 rims (5) with with T3 Techniques spacers Nokian WR all weather 215/60/16's (5) will full size spare mounted under the front (tires have a few 100 miles at most) AC is 134a conversion. Parrot Asteroid radio with 1000w aplifier and 4 pioneer speakers. Dual battery setup (house battery) under drivers seat. 1500w inverter under Z-bench with 3 12v outlets in the panel. Comes with three sets of springs: Carat, 1985 GL, and GoWesty Lift springs (spacers included as well). Comes with Thule roof racks and clamshell cargo carrier. New weather stripping around front windows. ABS black plastic door panels. The upholstery and carpet are in very good condition. All weather rubber floor mats. The Not So Good: Clear coat has peeled and it needs to be painted all around. I've been fighting with the interior plastic as it's been getting brittle with age. So there's some repaired cracks. The rear AC housing has some cracks and when I tried to repair this the plastic line that goes into the housing snapped. The entire unit is not attached to the roof or connected. It really needs to be replaced and is probably around $150 or less if you can find one. As a result of this there is not Freon charge. I didn’t do a great job of installing the front window weather stripping and the wing windows don't open and close as easily as they should. Probably needs to be redone. There's been some electrical problems with the dash. The speedo stopped working recently as a result. I have the printed circuit board replacement kit from GoWesty but haven't installed it yet. I also have a GoWesty Alternator Charge Initiation kit that hasn't been installed. There's some sort of vibration/noise in the rear that I can hear/feel under acceleration less that about 40mph. I've no been able to isolate the cause yet. Basically, I've justrun out of steam and interest in terms of restoring the vehicle. My life haschanged a lot since I started on this project and I just don't have the time orinterest in it anymore. All the pieces are there for this to be a great vehicle,it just needs someone to bring it across the finish line with some minorcosmetic and mechanical work.
