Vehicle Detail
1995 Audi S6 Avant (11/1995 late build “1995.5”) Magnolia pearl effect white exterior with Ecru leather interior Approximately 178,500 miles Overview: Up for auction is my S6 Avant, which I purchased out of Colorado in May 2013 (@ 143k miles) and drove back home to Georgia. This was the nicest example I could find both cosmetically and mechanically, and it’s now in even better condition today. From what I understand, the first owner had the car serviced by Audi, and the second owner was a technician at that particular dealership. I purchased from the third owner, who is a car enthusiast like myself. This has been a secondary daily driver during my ownership, consisting of mostly highway driving and long road trips. To ensure reliability, no expenses have been spared regarding maintenance and upgrades. Current Condition: All exterior surfaces present very well, due to proper care over the years and garage storage. There is no rust on the body or the undercarriage. I believe the paint to be original, and see no evidence of any prior collision repairs. The paintwork has been machine polished to minimize swirl marks and enhance appearance. The windshield was replaced with an OEM Pilkington shortly before my purchase. All rubber, plastic, and glass are in very good condition. Upon purchase, the clear protective film on the front end was removed, which appeared to have been installed when the car was nearly new. There are some minor paint chips and scratches consistent with age/mileage that have been touched up, but nothing significant. See pictures for the notable defects. The interior is extremely clean and shows very little wear. All electronic features and accessories work. Shortly after my purchase, the seats were restored by a local leather specialist. The driver’s outer bolster was repaired and all leather surfaces were redyed to closely match the original color. When the seats were removed, all interior panels and carpets were thoroughly cleaned. The original headliner is beginning to show signs of weakening in the front visor area. Also, the rear hatch panel has been repaired/reinforced, but it’s not perfect (see pictures). Mechanically the car is very solid and runs/drives well. The engine does not consume any measurable amount of oil, and there are no fluid leaks whatsoever. I have kept thorough documentation of maintenance history during my ownership. Only genuine Audi or the best available OEM quality replacement parts were used on this car. The only known issue is an intermittent front suspension clunk during tight turns at very low speeds only (such as parking). The cause has not been determined, and most of the front end wear items have been replaced. Maintenance Highlights (much more complete Excel spreadsheet available by email request): - Quality synthetic fluids used throughout - 143k: Right rear axle seal - 149k: Valve cover gasket - 155k: Clutch, flywheel, crankshaft seal, master & slave cylinders - 160k: Tires, shocks, springs, control arms, bushings, tie rods, alignment - 170k: Drive shaft (rebuilt), engine & transmission mounts - 177k: Timing belt service, A/C compressor Modifications: - Tinted windows (prior to my purchase) - Cocomats custom floor mats - WeatherTech cargo liner - Programmable intermittent windshield wiper relay - Disabled (removed relay) variable-assist “Servotronic” steering - 2 watt instrument cluster bulbs - Audiovox ME-412 stereo receiver - Blitzsafe iPhone interface - MRC Stage II ECU chipset - Samco silicone turbo boost hoses with T-bolt clamps - Stromung Gen 5 exhaust system with EFI Express downpipe - 034Motorsport short shift kit - Hella European-spec headlight lenses and front corner lamps - 5000K HID low beam bulbs with Denso ballasts (no bulb failure warnings) - Front grille painted black - 17x8” BBS RGR forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires - H&R sport springs / Koni sport adjustable shocks / modified front camber plates At auction close, the car will be located approximately 40 miles northeast of Atlanta, where I live. I’m currently in southeast VA with the car until 9/20/15. The winning bidder is welcome to pick up the car locally or contract a shipper (your expense). I’m willing to assist with this process in any way I can. Georgia title in my name is clear with no liens. Also included (but uninstalled): front license plate bracket, center rear headrest, rear ashtrays, stock Servotronic relay, stock intermittent wiper relay, stock shifter, and some miscellaneous odds & ends. $500 USD non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end.
