Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE I am offering up for bid my partially restored 1987 Porsche 944 951 Turbo. The 951 runs and drives. I have receipts, not counting the cost of the car, for over $10,000. You should check the cost of just rebuilding the engine on one of these turbo cars in order to understand what has been spent; not counting the clutch system and all the other parts replaced. I currently have 6 cars right now and simply cannot take the time or have the room to complete the restoration. I have only put a couple hundred miles on the car since this work was completed. Please let me know if you have any questions; I will be glad to answer them. Disassembly: · We dropped the entire lower chassis to view what was necessary and worked on what was needed (See pictures) Engine Rebuild (items replaced): · The head was machined and checked · Valve Job was performed · A new water line was machined in the #4 cylinder for extra cooling · The block was boiled and machined · New rings, seals & bearings installed · The crank was machined · Engine Mounts · Control Valve · Radiator · Speedometer Transmitter · Fuel Filter · Cut Off Valve · Battery · Dile Control Valve · Oil Drain Plug · Knock Sensor · Reference Sensor · Oil Temperature Sensor · Oil Pressure Sender · Water Temperature Sensor · Distributor Cap · Distributor Rotor · NGK Plugs · Wide Fire Head Gasket · Water Pump · Thermostat Kit · All Belts · Timing Belt Tensioner Roller · Balance Shaft Tensioner Powder Coating: · I powder coated everything that I could (see the pictures) Turbo: · I also had an 89 944 Turbo S that I rebuilt and put a larger HP kit on. I took the “S” turbo off of that car and put it on this one. I believe but I am not certain it is a K-26-6. It is the original or OEM “S” turbo. · Adjustable Boost Controller and Gauge Clutch/Driveline: · New Sachs clutch kit · New U-Joints · Differential Fluid Changed · Pressure Plate Bolt · Clutch Lever Shaft Brakes: · New rotors all the way around · New Pads · New Bearings · Brake Pad Sensors Lindsey Parts/Kit: · 300 RWHP Kit · Lindsey Chip · 4” Stainless Steel Exhaust System · Lifetime Guarantee Hose Kit (every hose was replaced) · Braided Steel Hoses Interior: · The powered front bucket seats were re-upholstered. · The carpet is in good condition with two front mats · The dashboard has cracks · The power windows and mirrors work · The speedometer is original and is fully functional. The trip-meter even works. Rims/Tires: · 18” Turbo Look Rims are shown · An original set of the “cookie cutters” comes with the car. (See pictures) · Spare tire and tool kit are there. You can see a lot was put into the car to this point; no expense was spared for the above listed work. What I write below is what was on the list to do but has not been done. · AC is there but needs to be replaced · The motor works for the sunroof but does not open · Most of the body looks really good but there are areas that need help. The clear coat is coming off, a couple of dents shown and there is an area of rust behind the front left tire (See pictures) · The alternator was not replaced but did work when the rebuild was done · The shifter linkage needs to be rebuilt. It works and shifts but it is sloppy and loose. · Window tinting is all the way around, but the back rear glass needs to be redone. You can barely see through it. · The arm rest is there but is broken/detached Thank you for looking!
