Vehicle Detail
This is a 1962 Ford Falcon Futura that I built as a father/son project for my son's first car.It is and always was a local Ca. car. NO RUST ever. My son drove it all through High School and College and for a few years after. Then he got married and 3 kids. The Falcon was then used less and less so good ol Dad agreed to store it in his shop until......well it has sat in my shop too many years and I find myself needing space for other projects so my son agreed to let me sell it for him. It was last registered in 2010 and is now on "NON-OP".It has a straight 6 out of an 80's T-Bird that I rebuilt with a motor head friends help. It has a C4 trans and rear end out of a Mustang II. It ran good when parked but since it has been sitting the gas has gone bad and the battery's dead so I haven't tried to start it recently. It needs some TLC ie-tank drained and new fuel, battery, brake job, fluids changed, etc. It was never a power house with the straight six so I was going to put a small block 302 in it, but will never get around to it. I even have Mustang V8 motor mounts for the conversion that will go with it if the buyer wants them. It has an under dash AC unit and what was in it's day a killer sound system. There are two many small custom touches to list so check out the pictures. The body and paint are very nice still except for a few chips (see photos). Also it was tapped in the rear by a careless driver. It is mostly confined to the rear bumper. (see photos) That is the only body damage. It has nice weatherstrip, all windows good-rear and sides tinted. I put "DynaMat" under the carpet etc. The trunk is finished nicely and I have a compact spare tire for it. It has very cool old school Boyd wheels with nice tires. This would make a great project for someone who doesn't want to do the expensive items like body and paint. It is a great candidate for a V8 swap since it already has the C4 and heavier rear end in place.I am a 100% E-Bayer and will answer any questions you might have honestly and quickly. I have a car trailer and will deliver within a resonable distance for gas money. Otherwise I will help with transport.I've put a very LO RESERVE on it that comes no where near what I have in it. I also have most receipts in a binder. This car needs a new home. Thanks for looking.
