Vehicle Detail
**NO RESERVE** Selling my 1971 Ford Maverick Grabber. This is a true Grabber, with matching VIN and codes. Not a common color/trim combination. It's a survivor-type car, with only a few modifications over the years. The previous owner installed an alarm system, hitch, and cb radio... all which have been removed. Exterior: The vehicle spent most of its life in Arizona, and has minimal rust. The exterior paint, although likely not all original, is in good condition with a few scratches/chips. The rear trunk lid appears to have some clear-coat patchiness and will need attention. The lower rear valance was cut out for the hitch, and is mostly hidden by the license plate. Interior:The interior is in great shape, and has the factory upgraded interior trim option. There is a single crack in the dash and on the back of the passenger headrest, and the steering wheel has a few cracks as well. All very typical for this year of car. The carpet needs to be stretched tight, and it will need a new headliner. The radio appears to work, but minimal sound comes out of the speaker. Mechanicals:The engine starts right up reliably every single time, but is a little rough. I have no problems driving this around town, and have spent the last few years making further improvements which include brake systems (drums, shoes, master, etc.), new carburetor, ignition system (plugs, coil, wires, points, etc.). One of the power steering hoses has a leak. It was ordered from the factory with whitewall tires, which I just replaced. They have about 100 miles on them at most. The spare is new as well. There is some play in the steering, and I recently installed a sway bar bushing kit. The gas tank was just replaced, and a new sending unit installed. This is a great car to drive around town, and definitely gets a lot of looks and comments. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all. Thanks!!
