Vehicle Detail
Rare unmolested, bone stock CRX other than Alpine stereo. Ran like a top before we had a baby and parked it several years ago. Got 40 MPG for us. The previous owner commuted over 100 miles a day on the highway, is why it has high miles. Won't start now. The check engine light won't go off. The forums say it is the master relay. I am no mechanic, so I am selling as is for parts or fix up. Only power accessory is brakes, so would be great for electric conversion or race car (no power robbing accessories!). That is what I thought I would do with it one day, but never did and now my wife wants her garage back, so selling cheap. This CRX has matte white paint that looks pretty good, just not glossy. Some rust bubbles around wheels and door moldings (see pictures) and a dent on the hood near the Honda emblem. The body is pretty straight for the year though. Driver door and front fender/bumper don't line up perfectly. May have had a fender bender at one time, but I never asked the previous owner. They are all still pretty close, might not even be able to see it in pictures, just wanted to let you know anything I can. Driver door makes popping sound when opening. The hold open bar appears to have cracked where it goes into the body, but door still opens and closes fine. Dark blue interior. A couple small cuts and scuffs on the door panels (see pictures) and torn seats, but better than many this age. I have seat covers that go with the car if you want them. Hairline crack on windshield about 1” but passes inspection every time and not getting any bigger. Needs tires, but the ones on there have held air for years, so would be good enough until you fix it up and get inspected. Needs a new battery. AC belt broke before I parked it. The AC did work great and I am including the new AC belt I bought but never put on. I my have forgotten something since I haven't driven the car in several years, but I think this is a pretty exhaustive list. Feel free to ask anything you would like to know. Even though I am selling it cheap, I want you to get what you wanted. Selling for what foreign salvage will give me (plus ebay fees). I would rather someone fix it up and have a classic or make an electric car than crush it. I reserve the option to end the auction early as well. As you know, these CRX's are getting more and more rare and are one of the few good looking 90's cars, so I really think they will be a classic. I would love to keep it and give it to my son when he grows up, but I just have too much going on and will never get to it. I hope someone will get as much enjoyment from it as we did. P.S. The water in the pictures under the back tires is from rain, it is not leaking gas or anything.
