Vehicle Detail
This is my 1972 Triumph TR6. I bought this cool British car from a local dealership that is owned by a 80 year old man. He told me that it was a one owner car bought new here in Dallas TX by a local Lawyer and he traded it to the dealership (The original license plate from 1972 still on the car). I drove the car and saw how solid it is and fell in love. I brought it home and parked it hardly driving it mostly due to the crazy hot weather in TX. I also know very little about British cars but this one runs and drives very good. I can hit highway speed no problem and really drives like you are flying in a old WW2 British fighter. The low stance, the torque, deep sound from the engine and simplicity of British engineering makes driving this car a unique experience. Now, I don't know the history on the car but if you ask me I would guess it was restored at one point or it is a very solid original car. I just don't see any over sprays or any sign of paint work anywhere. Again, I am not very knowledgeable to make any assumptions or I will be lying. All I can tell you is the car is so solid. It is as nice outside as it is under the car. I can't see any rust. I can see new carpet, new top, redone gas tank, new belts and hoses, new fluids, new starter, new alternator, new gaskets. Please understand that this is a 40+year old car and it is being sold as is where is. I am an individual and not a dealer. I can't provide warranty and nor do I have the luxury to jack around with anyone. All sales are final. If you are looking for a show winner then look elsewhere but if you are looking for a solid driving presentable old British car then this is it. I have clean title in hand. I have way too much money into it but time to let it go to someone who can enjoy it in nice weather. Buyer to pay a non refundable $500 down payment via paypal after auction ends. The remainder of the balance to be paid upon pickup in person or via check etc. On Aug-31-15 at 16:03:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I don't know why but some of the pictures are showing smaller than the proper size uploaded. So I am linking the pictures to a shutterfly album I created of the photos I have. I also have videos of the car running and driving down the road but don't know how to upload it. https://bmw2002ti.shutterfly.com/On Sep-02-15 at 15:48:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Here are a couple of video I uploaded on youtube. Sorry not a professional and so please ignore all the wind noise and shaky quality because driving with one hand and filming with the other. https://youtu.be/VMQj85wOsrk https://youtu.be/8nrtwhg8_dwOn Sep-04-15 at 16:03:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Many have asked about the Paint and Trim code listed on the original VIN plate and so I am attaching a photo of the VIN plate and also the Paint reads 23 and Trim reads 33
