Vehicle Detail
This is a 1957 Mercury which has been sitting inside an old shop for many years, it is in need of a full restoration. I was told it was parked due to a bad master cylinder sometimes during the early 1980's by the original owner. I purchased the car from his son whom as recently as last year had taken enough interest in the car to at least get it to run again, He bought all new brake shoes and wheel cylinders ( they are included ) but no master cylinder, then the car went back to sitting, I bought the car in a package deal and have no use for it, but it is too good of a car to continue to let sit and ruin, so I am listing it in the hopes that someone out there will save this classic. I do not know what engine it is, it is a V8 and it is Big, all of the glass is good, the frame is good, the pans are all solid with the exception of a little rust through on the driver floor pan beneath the pedals, easy fix, the rockers are really the only metal I believe need replaced, and I have a couple of rocker patch panels, but not the full rockers. The car is straight, all of the trim is there, if it's not on the car it is inside of the car, missing the mercury letters from one fin, dash is in tact and not cut up, push button gears, seat frames are good, headliner is gone, There is NO TITLE it is not required in Georgia on a car of this era, this car comes with a legal Georgia bill of sale only, So make sure you check with your dmv before bidding, this would be a great donor car for someone needing a drive train and body parts for a 2 dr or convertible. I think the car is in good enough shape that it could be restored, How many 1957 Mercury's do you ever see at car shows? Payment is expected in full within 7 days of auction end, you may have up to 60 days at no charge to arrange your transport, this is currently a non running vehicle, but could be running again in a day with the no how. Reserve is only what I have in the car, please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. Thanks
