This auction is for one of the best driving ’57 Chevy’s I’ve ever had. It is an original “VC” code BelAir 2 door sedan. The car sits on a 1 piece frame, with air shocks and shock bar installed. New 5 leaf springs installed in June. It has beautiful chrome, no cracked glass, and very nice window trim. This car is powered by an old school, ’67 Nova 325 h.p. 327 with the desirable “EP Special High Performance” block. It has a newer 600 Holley carb on top of an Offenhauser aluminum intake. GM HEI distributor, and nice headers. The transmission is a 1961 Borg Warner T-10, that shifts smoothly with a Hurst competition plus shifter. (newly refreshed with all steel “pit pack” bushings.) Differential is a 1964 GM factory “P”case posi unit with quiet 3.70 gear ratio. Other goodies are: Tapered front wheel bearings, all new brakes, dual master cyl.,steering box, starter solenoid, tires. Be Cool aluminum radiator, electric wipers, dual factory mirrors, door handle guards, seat belts. Car has good floors and is very clean underneath. It has 15x7 rear and 14x6 front Cragar SS wheels in excellent condition. Interior is naugahyde/velour and is in excellent shape, with almost new carpet kit. Headliner is perfect. New Sunpro tachometer and full gauges under dash. Original dash is unaltered. Original speedo, fuel gauge work. (speedo off a bit due to tire size). We just drove this car 1700 miles to the Tri-Five Nationals and back without any problems. What a great trip! This car loves to be driven! If you want a turn-key cruiser, this is one to consider.
