Up for sale is a '97 Passat GLX VR6 Sedan in good condition with just a few minor repairs needed to make it a really excellent daily driver. I bought it with the intention of putting the leather interior into my fiance's '96 station wagon, but she actually prefers her cloth seats. So now it has to go. It has nice tan leather seats and leather door trim panels. The sunroof operates as it should, the transmission shifts flawlessly, the engine starts right up with no smoke or noises, idles smooth and pulls strong-just as a VR6 engine should. This car isn't perfect and it is 19 years old, but it rides and drives very nice. It also comes with an extra set of snow tires good for one more winter season. There is very little rust overall on the vehicle-just one blister under the paint on the left front fender and another at one of the door handles-no cancer though. This is a solid and reliable daily driver that will give you good value for the money. Or if you have a TDI that you want to upgrade to 5 lug hubs and leather interior this makes a good candidate.
