this is a 1985 Mercedes 300 turbo diesel. this Mercedes belong to my brother. Due to marital problems he shipped this to me along with a Passat diesel and a beetle. Unfortunately the cars were stuck at a depot in Miami and the shipping company really screwed me over. the batteries got stolen on all three cars and some damage was done to the front grill/hood (see pictures). my brother says it has a problem with the transmission. he said it does not shift out of first or it holds first gear long. I had a 240 D that had a similar issue which was a vacuum leak I suspect this has something like that going on as the vacuum door locks don't work either. I have driven it around my property it drives fine stops nice all that but have not driven it at speed so I don't know what's going on with the transmission. it might need a trans or it could have a vacuum leak I don't know.it has a recent Maaco paint job probably three years old but needs a good cleaning its been sitting about 6 months.it is not without any rust there is some on the floors particularly in back. his wife was a slob so the interior is a little bit beat up. any questions please ask.I don't know that much about it except that he did change the oil in his cars all the time religiously. would be great for parts, fixed to drive as a beater or a veggie conversion whatever.
