Vehicle Detail

I bought this 1947 Willys Jeep from a farm about 15 years ago. My son used to drive it to school and for just getting about but since he moved on, it has been used very little over the past 10 years. The plate on the firewall identifies it as a CJ-2A Model #107241 and the engine block ID# is 641087-L W10A N1 CR-N2. It has the original 6-volt electrical system. The horn, lights and turn signals work fine. The oil pressure gauge, amperes gauge and heat gauge are working and indicate normal operating conditions. The gas gauge also works but at times doesn't appear to give an accurate reading. The speedometer is accurate but the odometer reading of 13,154 miles is obviously incorrect. The body is in fairly good shape but it does show the effect of being used and has some rust. A thin piece of metal has been placed on the driver and passenger side floors. As shown in the pictures, it has had extra holes drilled in it (some of which have been filled) and a couple of patches applied to give it a little character. A previous owner had made some additions and modifications as follows: The front brakes were replaced with 11 inch brakes from a Jeep Wagoneer and the original hand emergency brake was replaced with a Micro Brake Lock. Also, the rear brakes, engine, starter and steering bell crank have been replaced with those from a 1951 CJ-3A Jeep. The wiring was modified to include a fuse panel and turn signals. Seat belts were installed. I recently had four new unidirectional tires mounted, front shocks and front wheel brake cylinders replaced. The heater and windshield wipers were removed and need to be put back on. They appear in the picture with the additional parts. Although the battery is getting old, it starts and runs well. The title is clear. A deposit of US $500.00 is required within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment of the remaining balance is required within 7 days of auction close.
