For sale: 1983 Dodge Power Wagon Ram 150 4x4 short box rust free survivor purchased new here in the dry high desert of central Montana. One family owned till I acquired the truck earlier this year. Used by a local elderly gentleman for trips to his weekend cabin. Always well maintained and never beat on, wheeled, or mudded. Super tight, sorted, great running truck with bulletproof 318-4 barrel and NP 435 transmission. Original manual and build sheet/window sticker included. Original spare tire and carrier. Use as is for daily driver, snowplow or bug-out truck or spend $299 on a MAACO respray and have a really sharp looking rig for cruising uptown. Truck is bone stock and not lifted but has a great stance and would look super with some larger tires. With comparable new trucks at $40k-$50k, this truck is an easy-to-work on viable alternative for cheap money - NO RESERVE. Exterior: Straight and 99 percent rust free. Paint appears original and it's very faded -would be an easy re-spray. Only rust at all I can see besides the normal minor surface stuff is one small spot at very bottom of passenger front fender (shown). Underside is rust free and you can even see factory chalk marks. Glass is good and windshield is new. Ready to put to work. Interior: Original and mint. No tears, cracks, or damage that I can see. Just really nice. No smoke or rodent smells. Heater, wipers, speedo, lights, horn, original radio all working. Fuel guage works intermittently (sending unit or float) and also needs a turn signal switch. No squeaks or rattles and drives like a new truck. Mechanical: Super tight and strong, with power steering and power disc brakes. Starts, runs, and drives out fine. 318 4 barrel motor has no smoke (other than small puff at startup from valve seals) and has good oil pressure. No abnormal noises or issues. 4x4 works great. Truck really scoots - definitely the strongest running 318 I've ever driven. Gears are 3.23, with Dana 44 up front and stout 9 1/4 big rear end. Everything works great, save for fuel gauge, needs sending unit or float as it works on and off (was working today when I took pics) and needs turn signal switch. Turn signal switch feels tight, but you have to wiggle lever to make blinkers work. Hazards work fine. Newer exhaust and tailpipe. Tires are LT235/15 and have good tread and should last a season more. Spend a few bucks on a couple of small items and you've got a great vintage short box 4x4 that will get you to the job site or the lake and back worry-free. Pricing/Misc: This is the pampered little-old-man truck that everyone's looking for. The value here is in the rust you don't have to fix, and the fact that this is a turn-key hit the gas and go truck. Clean short box 4x4 trucks are getting hard to find and very expensive - they aren't going to get any cheaper. Low cost shipping to is available and much less expensive than fixing a rusty East Coast or Midwest truck. Title is clear and in my name, ready to go. Buyer should get insurance when funds are sent as I will drop mine at that time.
