1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille - like the one Don Draper drove in "Mad Men." Selling at NO RESERVE A lifetime Colorado car purchased from the original owner's family. It lived its life in the small arid mountain town of Walden CO with "Laverne" the original owner. The odometer reads around 49,000, and I have no reason to think that's incorrect. It was in need of TLC when I got her, but now she's looking good and driving well. The body was stripped to bare metal and any rust issues repaired with new metal. Floors and trunk panels are original & solid. Repainted in PPG quality paint. The paint and body are very nice but not show perfect. There are some minor repairs and small areas where the paint is thin - but as you can see she looks good. Side trim and emblems are shaved for a smoother look. Chrome bumpers could use some additional polishing. There was hole cut in the rear bumper for a trailer hitch, which was welded up and covered with chrome film. Front and back seats were professionally recovered in quality black vinyl at no small expense. New carpet. Electric seat adjustment works. Dash & package tray were recovered. Headliner is good with only one small 2" repair. Horn works via button on lower dash. Clock, radio & antenna do not work. Front windows work well, rears do not work. Good glass all around. Windshield is new. Fuel tank was dropped & cleaned. New fuel lines, high volume fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetor with electric choke. New rubber seals on doors and trunk. New brakes, brake lines, and brake fluid. New oil & filter. New coolant. New radiator hoses. New battery. New shock absorbers. New muffler. New white wall tires and color matched hub caps. Original 390 ci V8 / 325 horsepower engine starts easily and runs well with little to no smoke, and is detailed. New Pertronix electronic ignition. Transmission shifts well. New ignition switch as well as locks for doors & trunk Trunk is clean & carpeted with original panels This is a very cool car that gets a lot of thumbs up on the road. It's not show perfect. I have tried to describe it as accurately as possible. If not for a single ebayer who obviously did not read the description, I'd have perfect feedback. Inspections welcomed. On Aug-26-15 at 06:57:27 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been questions about the A/C: There is evidence that this car originally had A/C, but it was removed before I got it. I've never tested heat or defrost either. Also, the car does leak a little oil. Not enough to be a concern to me, but I do want to disclose.
