Up for sale is a 1973 BMW R60/5 with an R90/6 top end. I am selling this for a friend. The top end was from an earlier R90/6, 1974, so no modifications were required. The miles shown on the odometer are correct with the original 600 top end and the 900 top end on it for the last 4000 miles or less. Other than the cylinders, pistons, heads and carbs, everything else is the original R60/5. This is the long wheelbase model with a beautiful toaster tank. The paint on it is almost perfect except for a small spot on the right side of the rear fender. It runs excellent and was very well maintained. It has the accessory rear rack and the original tool kit and tire pump. The seat also is very nice but it does have a very small spot on the top. The front edge of the mirrors have some imperfections in the chrome but overall this is a very nice /5. Shipping arrangements must be made by the buyer. A $500.00 deposit is to be made by the winning bidder within 48 hrs after the auction ends via PayPal. the balance will be paid by cash or certified check when it is picked up. Thanks
