This four-door 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor sedan spent the first years of its life as a marked police car on daily patrol. It was then moved into part time duty as an administrative vehicle for officers to take to and from classes. The car is equipped with an engine lockout switch, so the keys can be removed with the engine still running. Last week the vehicle was approved as surplus. It is a City-owned fleet vehicle that was serviced regularly on a schedule. All mechanical issues were fixed as needed throughout the life of the vehicle, but no vehicle records are available. It has never been smoked in and the interior is in decent condition. At one time, the car had three antennas attached to the trunk. Those areas are now covered with rubber caps. The roof has some sun damage and paint bubbling. The dash has some holes from where equipment was mounted and the front plate on the drink holders is missing. The transmission is strong, but was used daily for long hours for at least three (3) years. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty. Vehicle must be picked up by winning bidder within seven (7) days of winning the auction or it will be re-posted. No delivery is available.
