Vehicle Detail
1969 Dodge Charger General Lee. Runs, drives and stops decent. Engine runs nice, transmission newly rebuilt with shift kit in May 2015. Driveline is said to be from a 1985 Fifth Avenue. Engine is a 318 V8. I did confirm the casting date on the block. From researching it, I understand this is a roller cam engine with fast burn type heads. New dual exhaust and tires. Wheels are 10 spoke Vectors with spacers/adapters. Master power key switch with pushbutton ignition. Steering is manual. Extra interior parts - I believe there is windshield trim that is missing in the pics; these will be included in the sale. This is a driver quality car that is nowhere near perfect. It looks great from a distance but the flaws are apparent when you get close. The car needs work and I bought it fully understanding this. The interior needs lots of attention and is missing parts. The gauges, radio, turn signals, wipers, heater blower are not hooked up, there is a fair amount of non-stock/non-professional metal and filler patching in the trunk, rear window, tail panel (from a ’70 Charger as seen in pics), and rear fenders/quarters. Work I have completed on The General: edelbrock 600 4 bbl carb edelbrock alum high performance intake, replaced all of front end / steering parts replaced 4 shocks replaced timing cover/ oil pan gasket/ chg oil / water pump gaskets replace plugs, wires, air intake clean, paint, and replace valve covers replace alternator bracket / belt rebuild transmission w/ shift kit replace heater core replace heater hoses replace radiator hoses (upper / lower) replace fuel line under hood replace thermostat change oil in rear differential ujoints in drive shaft checked - new. Bodywork and Paint not professional. Will need a new windshield due to a few cracks and leaks. Passenger side floor had been patch welded but not professionally. Headlights and taillights do work but headlight doors must be manually lifted (vacuum system needs rebuilt). Small rust hole in driver floor (about 2“ diameter). Interior comes as shown. True mileage is unknown. Again, as stated, the car runs, drives, stops but please understand prior to bidding that it does need work. It is a fun project. It gets a lots of looks, whistles and thumbs up when on the road, after all, its The General! I’m selling due to too many projects right now and I will not be able to put time in on this car now or any time in the near future. Feel free to ask questions! I want bidders to be confident in what they are bidding on with no surprises. I’ve tried to describe as best as possible. Email questions to my personal account with phone number and I will get back with you. Again, I’m listing this car with the intent to sell, so please only bid if you are serious. Bidders with 0 feedback please contact me through my personal email - GL01cw@yahoo.com, prior to bidding so that I know you are serious. Car is sold AS IS WHERE IS, with no warrantees discussed, expressed, or implied. Accepts Cash, Bank Transfer, Cashiers Check(when cleared). I will help ship as long as the buyer makes all arrangements for pickup and delivery. I can help load it on a transport trailer. CLEAN title in my name. Payment: $1000 non-refundable deposit within 24hrs of auction closing. Balance due within 5 days of auction closing.
