1997 Ford F-350 Powerstroke Diesel This is a 1997 Ford F350 with the powerful legendary 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engine, an automatic transmission, and the very rare solid front differential. The truck runs and drives like its got 50k on it, I purchased it from the original owner that purchased it locally new. The engine runs very smoothly, fires right up without fail and the transmission shifts just like it should. It does not have any major oil leaks which is very surprising, it does have some minor seepage but nothing that leaves a puddle or a bunch of drops on the ground. The tires have MAYBE 50 miles on them, they are new BFG All terrain LT's, the front pads and rotors have the same amount of miles on them. The air conditioner works really well and will freeze you out of the truck. The power windows and locks work as they should, no slow or sluggish operation at all. The stereo is the stock one that came with the truck, the volume up button broke off but I just use my house key to push the little tab to raise the volume. The drivers seat does have a spot where its coming apart as you can see in the pictures, not terrible considering the mileage but it definitely could use a cover or repair if you want it looking like new. The trailer brake control works as far as I know. The exterior of the truck is in good condition, the paint on the hood is flaking off but its not that way anywhere else on the truck which leads me to believe that the hood has been repainted some time in the trucks life. The bed on the passenger side in front of the wheel well has a dent in it, its hard to see but its there. I did my best to try and show pictures of it. One of the rods for the tailgate release doesn't hinge properly of of the handle so it has to be manually pushed to open. The tool boxes in the bed do not lock, you can have new locks installed in them if you choose. The lumber rack is very strong and in good condition. The registration is current, the title is issued from California and is clean, no salvage, junk, lemon, etc. This is the last year of the smog exempt Powerstroke diesels here in California. This truck is located here in Chico, Ca which is under 2 hours north of Sacramento which is the closest major airport. Shuttles runs a couple times a day between there and here if you are planning on flying in and driving this home. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. It has no mechanical issues that I know of that would prevent it from making to your destination BUT keep in mind, its a used truck and nothing is perfect and machines do break.
