Up for auction as part of an estate is a one of a kind 1940 ford coupe that has been stretched and widened to be installed on a 1988 Lincoln Mark V chassis with less then 27,000 original miles on the Lincoln. I will do my best to describe but please contact me with any questions you may have and I will get the answers. I want to start by saying that there was over a hundred thousand dollars spent on this street rod, we also know that we will never get close to getting that money back the reserve is set not even any where close to that so the car will sell. The exterior of the car was paint with a DuPont Chrome Illusion paint that was extremely popular at the time and extremely expensive to paint with. The body is as straight as an arrow. The interior is the original interior from the Lincoln with all the original components. Power seats, steering, sunroof, door locks and windows. The seats were not dyed the car was sent to a local upholstery shop and all interior was custom made. The drive train is all original to the Lincoln 5.0 engine fuel injected. The car runs and drives as good as it looks it's a blast to drive 4 wheel disc brakes A/C the hood flips up. The doors all open with a switch that is located under the running board you use your foot to activate the switch. The trunk is fully hydraulic. There are lights that change colors hidden under the hood. The car was built around 10 years ago and stored in climate controlled show room part of a large collection.
