Vehicle Detail
Dear Bidders: Thank you for taking the time to look at my vehicle. I will do my best to describe every single detail that is relevant to this sale because that is what I would expect if I was the one buying. I invite you to reach out to me in case I have missed something. And, please note that I reserve the right to sell this car outside of the e-bay environment and to, therefore, end this auction early. This 2005 Infiniti G35x is UNDER WARRANTY from Infiniti until later this month. The car has been under Infiniti warranty since its original purchase. Infiniti offers various warranties, but this car is covered under the “Infiniti ELITE Extended Warranty” which covers “virtually all major components” of the car. I can send you scanned copies of the warranty document to show what it covers, but as a snapshot, the warranty covers: · Engine (engine block, heads, and all internal and external parts) · Lubrication and Cooling (Radiator and all internal and external lubrication and cooling parts) · Fuel System (Virtually all fuel delivery components) · Transmission (Transmission cases and all internal and external parts) · Audio/Video/Navigation (Most audio, video, and navigation system components) · Brakes (All internal and external parts including Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)) · Electrical (All engine and body electrical components) · Suspension (All internal and external parts including Full Active Suspension System) · Steering (All internal and external parts, including HICAS power cylinder assembly) · Belts and Hoses (Extensive coverage for high wear components including belts and hoses) In addition to the standard G35 features, the car has: Built-in GPS Navigation System New BridgeStone DriveGuard RunFlat Tires* (you can continue driving even if you drive over a nail and there is no air left in the tires…therefore you can drive to a safe destination to have the tires checked/repaired). These tires have a 60,000 warranty on them. The new tires cost $833.00. Fuel monitor (to let you know how many miles you can drive before the gas runs out) Sunroof 4-Wheel Drive (All Wheel Drive, AWD, 4x4)!!!!!!! Leather seats Infiniti floor mats Cruise control Radio controls on the steering wheel Heated front seats for the driver and passenger Power Seats for the driver and passenger Snow setting (which makes the car adapt to snow conditions) First aid kit Cargo net Remote control entry and truck release Keyless start Keyless entry ALSO INCLUDED 2 TIRES THAT WERE REMOVED WHEN THE NEW TIRES WERE INSTALLED. It's always good to have extras on hand. ALSO AVAILABLE Remote car starter* (invaluable when it is 5 degrees outside and you want to warm up the car before heading to work!!! VIPER 5706, 2-way Theft Alarm / Deterrent with blinking indicator and 2 remotes* * The remote starter and alarm is AVAILABLE but NOT INCLUDED. I plan to have them uninstalled and installed in my new car, but if you want them, then just add $500 to the final price of the car. DISCLOSURES A few months ago, someone was trying to parallel park their vehicle in front of the G35x and they make contact with the front driver corner of the car. They caused some body damage. Basically that corner needs to be repainted, but since it did not impact the performance of the vehicle at all, I have not had the work done. The body shop indicated that it can be fixed for $550. Some part inside the headlight broke, too, but the headlight works perfectly and, therefore, it does not require immediate attention. The bumper covers have a few scratches, which is unavoidable in the world of New York City parallel parking! PRICING INFORMATION…THE NUMBERS When consulting the Kelley Blue Book’s definitions of “Good Condition” and “Very Good Condition,” anyone will agree that this car fits somewhere between the two. The “Good Condition” status indicates that the “paint and bodywork may require minor touch-ups”. The “Private Party” value, therefore, is somewhere between $8,056 and $8,521. Since repair of the paint damage will cost around $550, I'm willing to basically accept $1,000 to $1,500 from the value of the vehicle and I'm not going to add anything to the price of the car for the brand new tires. I'm letting the car go for $7,000 - period. ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT Cash (at a secure location such as a bank or police department) Money Orders (postal money orders ONLY and they must be negotiated at a local post office to make sure they are real)Cashier’s Check / Certified Check (transaction MUST take place at the bank listed on the check… meaning that if it is a Certified Check from Bank of America, then we will finalize the transaction AT Bank of America, to assure that the check is real / legitimate) COMMENTARY I have truly enjoyed driving this car and you will completely appreciate it in the winter time when you can drive past trucks and cars that are stuck in the snow. This car performs exceptionally well in all weather conditions, so you never have to miss a day of work due to snowy roadways. This car accelerates quickly and rides smoothly. Look around at the other 10 year old cars for sale and you’ll notice they have upwards of 130,000 to 150,000 miles. This car has just over half that quantity of miles. Although the car is being sold AS-IS, I am confident that you will enjoy this vehicle as much as I have. As you can see, I'm extremely thorough and candid. I encourage you to contact me should you have further questions! Thank you. On Aug-12-15 at 14:02:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi Bidders: In an effort to promote total transparency, honesty, and fair dealing, every time someone asks me questions, I will upload the answer here so that everyone can be in the loop. Question: Hello. Car looks nice but I have a few questions. Has the car been smoked in? Any rust on body or undercarriage? Also I know from experience that the headlight assembly on the G35 is very expensive. Can you explain the damage in greater detail. Thanks, Answer: Dear (name removed), Thank you for this message. Please find the answers to your questions presented below. I am a non-smoker, so I can attest that the car has not been smoked in since its purchase. As a nonsmoker, I would have never purchased it if there was even a whiff of cigarette smoke. This car is regularly serviced at Infiniti and they have never indicated that there is rust underneath it. Also, I have a garage so the car is protected from the elements for the most part. Whenever I return home from driving in the rain, I dry off the area where the paint damage occurred to minimize the risk of rust issues. Regarding the light, it works perfectly. The damage that happened when the person was trying to parallel park occurred toward the end of last year and I've been driving it ever since. It's not very noticeable unless you bend down and look closely. I'm going to attach some pictures. Also, sure, if you are talking about purchasing a brand new headlight from Infiniti, then you should expect to pay top dollar and for it to be "very expensive"; however, an aftermarket headlight for this car only costs a couple hundred dollars or less (there are dozens available on Ebay and other venues). Lastly, I'm selling this car for $1,000 to $1,500 less than its real Private Seller value - which does not even account for the 3-4 month old brand new Run Flat tires, which a buyer would have had to invest in anyway ($833.00)... in the 4 months that I've had the tires, the true value of them is probably $500. So, I'm really selling the car for approximately $1,500 - 2,000 less than its actual value (including tires). The body paint damage only costs around $550 to repair and with a headlight costing only a couple hundred dollars, this still seems like a good deal. I took some photos with the lights powered ON so that you could see that both lights work perfectly; however, since it's daytime you can't really see much. I'll take some tonight and send. Thanks On Aug-13-15 at 08:01:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: 8/13/2015 Dear Bidders: I snapped some photographs of the headlight in daytime and night time conditions to demonstrate that the headlight works perfectly. I'm trying to add them to the posting now. This is my first posting, so please be patient with me. If you don't see the headlight photos (in day and night conditions) in the photo section, then please send me a message and I'll attach and send them directly to you. Also, feel free to call me via phone: 917 8O5 I744 Thank you,
