Vehicle Detail

Here we have a perfect example of a COMPLETE '71 911 Targa, believed to be numbers matching. This vehicle was purchased at auction ~7 years ago, engine was removed, tagged, bagged, and labeled correctly. They proceeded to repair some of the light body rust, and then stored the car for six years. We here at Mars Motorsports (marsmotorsports.com) went through everything with a fine toothed comb, and set to repairing the front suspension pan with brand new Dansk components, including a fresh fuel tank. We re-assembled the engine, cleaning and correcting issues as we went. This engine contains the original pistons, jugs, rods, and other accessories, to our knowledge. We replaced rings, seals, and gaskets as we went, using only top quality components from Pelican Parts exclusively. Not a perfect factory rebuild, but this should be a tight spinning engine. We worked with Stratton Motorsports to have the original Zenith carbs rebuilt, and while not perfect, are mostly complete. There is still installation of the carbs and throttle plates to be done, however, it is time to post the vehicle for sale. A set of PMO's would rock. The body is rust free, primered and ready for the next owner to select a color (was originally red). This car has a SHORT list of needs, carpet, some hoses, some seals, paint, gas, exhaust, and tires. All of the major hard items have been corrected, and this vehicle could be finished in your garage. Clear title, ready for export. Pictures speak for themselves, any and all questions, please ask away! Longhoods are going up in value year after year, and the prior owners don't have the time or interest in completing this one, so act now to lock in this near perfect example. All major and minor mechanical systems are here, this is one of the most unmolested and complete units we've ever seen (besides those costing $100K+).
