1984 Ford F150 Flareside Standard Cab This truck was sold new on June 4, 1984 at Dean Sellers Ford in Troy, MI. It was dealer rustproofed. Came from the factory like this:• 4.9L (300 cid) straight 6cyl, 1bbl carb • 4 speed manual overdrive• Power Steering• Power front disk brakes • Chrome 8” x 5” low mount, swing away mirrors• Cloth Bench seats • Rubber floor covering • Ammeter and Oil Gauges • Tinted Glass • Radio Delete • Cigarette Lighter • HD Battery • HD Shocks/Springs • White Styled Steel Wheels with black hub ornament, 15” x 7” • Under frame spare tire carrier • Factory Fiberglass rear fenders • Stripe package • No Air Conditioning Truck has had a lot of new parts added lately: • Tune-up • Front brakes • 2 New Halogen headlights • 4 New shocks • Passenger upper/lower ball joints • Passenger tie rod end • Outside window seals/felt on doors • Striker bolts for both doors • Driver side window regulator • Brake and Clutch pedal pads • New front grille/headlight bezels/Ford emblem • R/L Marker Light lenses • Glove box liner • Used door handles with better chrome • Aftermarket CD with 4 speakers Bad: • Rust on cab corners, driver’s floor and rocker panel, various spots on bed. Some rust at radiator core support. This truck is not a rust bucket, but needs rust repair.• Choke thermostat spring is broken, choke wired open. Cheap part.• Needs front end alignment, has outer tire wear• Slow leak in clutch master cylinder (I just top it off once a month)• Valve cover gasket leak down engine (oily at bottom), but I tightened• Previous owner removed smog pump, but I have the parts• Stops great due to strength of new fronts, but rear brakes will need to be done soon.• Dash cracked• Roof painted flat black.• Parking brake inoperable • Rips in driver’s seat, not bad though Good: • Rare truck with classic look • Original Paint and stripes • All lights work • Hot heat • Lots of new parts, I have $3000 invested in this truck • Runs and drives great. Drive as-is or restore; very restorable • Dependable • Steering tight and straight • Excellent stereo Current odometer reading is 92,923, will go up because I use the truck.
