1986 PORSCHE 928S – BEAUTIFUL SPORTS CAR DREAMER'S DELIGHT Porsche builds the finest road cars in the world; at any price. Watching or driving a 928 in action is an escape from reality. Plans for the 928 Porsche began in 1971 and what a plan it was, especially within the walls of a company that had its 30 year history building nothing but cars with a small engine placed behind the driver. America was the target market, so a front engine, rear wheel drive V8 Grand Touring motor car made a lot of sense. The 928 borrowed no parts from other Porsches and it's shape was like nothing else. A futuristic design with a low, wide stance, a long sloping hood, a slant nose and an evenly rounded rump. “Telephone dial” wheels completed the package and they fit the car perfectly. Engineers worked hard to build a supercar and they did. It is the ultimate handling car; over-aggressive drivers labeled it one of the best handling cars in the world. THE INTERIOR The cabin is nothing short of plush - with leather supportive seats. The leather itself is not torn and is in good condition. The interior is not perfect; however, it is close to the way it left the factory 30 years ago. The rear door is in excellent condition and so is the storage area. Here is a huge plus: Inside you will find the complete set of all NINE service manuals, original compressor, and spare tire. This is a complete car - nothing is missing. The factory carpets and factory 928 mats are in real good condition. The visors, dash, door pads, speaker covers - like almost new. The air needs to be serviced.
