UP FOR AUCTION WITH NO RESERVE 2000 FORD F150 LIGHTNING 5.4 SUPERCHARGED V8 I will describe this vehicle being as open, and honest as possible. This truck was a one owner before my father bought it a year ago. I purchased it from him recently, but I have helped him with the maintenance on it. I thought I would have time to enjoy the truck, but I work two hours away, and it is not something I have the time to work on, or enjoy. I will start with an exterior description of the vehicle. Exterior; The silver paint on the truck is in good shape, keep in mind the truck is 15 years old, and has 192k miles on it. the truck does have some small scratches, and it does have some rust. The front fenders are in good shape, they do have some paint that has come off on the bottom of them, and some surface only rust. This primarily on the edge against the wheel well where the inner fender liner meets the outer fender. Again this area is just minor surface rust. The doors are in good shape on the outside, however they do have some rust on the bottom inside the door. I did my very best to take detailed photos of these areas, please see all pics. The bed is in good shape along with the tailgate, the bed under the bedliner is in good shape as well. This is a truck that was a daily driver, not abused, just driven. The rear bumper has rust, the rust is not through the bumper. Again, I am trying to be honest so that there aren't any surprises. The cab corners on both sides, along with the rocker on the driver's side have rust. these are areas that would require replacement panels. Rocker on the passenger side is in decent shape. The hood has been repainted at some point, and the clear appears to be somewhat dull, and possibly thin in a spot, and it also has the typical aluminum hood corrosion in a couple of spots on the front edge. There is also rust on the floor pans between the rockers and the frame rails that is mostly surface, but does have some soft areas. These areas will need repair, they are not structure, but should receive attention. I have also taken pictures of these areas. Some of this may sound like a lot, but I do not want to misrepresent the condition in any way. These areas have not become any bigger in the last year. This truck is in decent shape, and would make an excellent project at a good price. The mechanical aspect of this truck is also very good. The truck runs, and drives very well. The supercharger works as it should, builds boost just like it should, the engine runs great, does not make any unusual noises, this truck does not smoke, does not leak, has plenty of power, and is what you should expect.The A/C blows cold, cruise control, and power accessories all work as they should. The chassis is good and tight, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. are all in good shape. The truck drives straight, and the handling is very responsive. The oil was just changed with Motrorcraft semi synthetic 5w20 oil. Transmission shifts just like it should, This truck really drives great. The rear brake pads were recently replaced, front brakes are in good shape, they were replaced right before dad bought the truck. There are no pulsations, squeaks, squeals or noises from the brakes. The only mechanical issues are those that were listed above. I will cover it again. Common issue is that occasionally the odometer doesn't light up, this does not happen very often, and is a common problem on Fords. The ABS light is on, as stated above when we rotated the tires we found the wheel speed sensor wire out of the clip, and possibly damaged the wire putting it back into the clip. There is some power steering fluid residue on the power steering return line. Occasionally the door lock actuators will act up. again another common issues on these. Also the adjusters on the parking brake shoes were frozen so I removed the parking brake shoes. Tires are in decent shape with decent tread left, there is one mismatched tire currently on the right rear. The three matching tires are correct size Goodyear Eagle F1's, the mismatched tire on the right rear is a Nitto Extreme Contact also in the correct size. The tire did not cause a pull when it was on the front, nor is there any tire noise. Interior is in really good shape for the miles and age, could use a good detail on the interior, the headliner is a little dirty, and is starting to roll off in a very small section at the back on the driver's side. The micro suede material they used on the seats is in good shape, shows some wear, but no rips or tears in the seats. No cracks in the dash or door panels, the driver power seat works, power windows work great. And I will say it again, since the controls are in the interior, A/C works very well, all climate control functions work as they should, cruise control works as it should. Again this truck is a really great running, and driving truck. Again this truck is not perfect, it is not a truck that has been abused, just driven. In the end you also will not be spending $17k for a perfect one. This truck is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
