Vehicle Detail

Up for consideration is my 1970 Dodge Coronet Superbee in the factory correct FY1 Top Banana Yellow paint with a black vinyl top black and black reverse “C” stripe. This is a real “WM” factory E87 “V” code 440 6 pack Superbee. This is a very rare car. One of only 599, 1970 2 door hardtop 440 six packs produced. That is only 12 cars per state. All numbers match except the engine. It shows 78,336 on the odometer, but who knows for sure if that is correct. I do have part of a broadcast sheet that was found in the car. It does not have the original engine, but has a 1971 “HP” motor with forged steel crank and new internals. It is equipped with the factory pistol grip 4 speed. It is a console car with black bucket seats, black headliner, black carpet and black door panels; all new and factory correct. It came with the AM 8 Track radio, but is now sporting a modern AM/FM CD player with dual voice cone dash speaker and two 6” X 9” in the rear package shelf. It has the famous 9 3/4" Dana 60 3.54:1 Track Pack option. It is a factory Ram Charger hood car as well. I added the “Go Wing” for a little more pop, but it was not produced this way. It sports factory 14” road wheels (like magnum 500’s)/brushed aluminum trim rings with older very low mileage Goodyear Eagle GT II 215/70/R14’s. It has approximately 198 miles since the completion of the restoration engine included. Almost everything is either new, rebuilt or refurbished. It is absolutely a beautiful car and very fast. The first and only car show I went to this year (Mike Bell Chevrolet/AACA show) had 70 entries and I won “Best of Show”. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Superbee. The only thing worth mentioning is after the used rear window was installed, I noticed it was scratched. I have no plans to replace it. The new owner can do so if desired. My interests have changed and so I have decided to sell to someone who will appreciate a classic like this. Below is a list of what was been done during the long non-rotisserie restoration. I know it is a long list, but worth mentioning and I know I am leaving out some stuff. I have receipts for everything listed. Needless to say, I have plenty invested, but plan to price fairly. Body/Exterior Replaced both fenders with better ones Replaced right quarter panel with NOS one and left one with Year One panel (banged around in the “junk yard” before my buddy found it) they were not rusty. Years ago in the Southeast, I think after a car reached 20 years old, you were not required to pass the title along with the sale. All that was required was a “bill of sale”, and that is what evidently happened here. I have tried to obtain a title from the State of Georgia, but they tell me once the title chain is broken they will not issue a title. I will fill out a new “bill of sale” for the new owner and I will sign the tag receipt/registration over to the new owner. This should be all you need to complete the transaction and for vehicle registration, but check with your State DMV to be sure. I have been involved with Mopars for 40 years. I have kept up with market values. After some careful consideration, I have decided to price the Superbee at what I think is fair for the condition of the car and for where I think the market is currently. I feel the car’s condition is between average and high, but closer to the high end. I will set a reasonable reserve to protect my investment and let the market be the judge. The first real and fair offer will buy the car. Please, no low ball offers! Just to be fair, I need to let everyone know the Superbee is now for sale locally as well as listed on Ebay. This vehicle will be removed from the Ebay listing if it sells locally. If there are bids and the car sells locally, I will cancel all bids and end the auction. This Superbee is sold “as is, where is with no warranties expressed or implied.” You will not be disappointed with this car. The car is in excellent shape. It runs extremely well and is a blast to drive! Please do not bid if you do not have the funds to complete the transaction! If you are the high bidder and the reserve is met when the auction ends, contractually you are the owner! The winning bid is not for you to come look at the car and then decide. This is a legal and binding contract. If you want to inspect the car prior to auction end, contact me for a date and time. A non-refundable $500 deposit is required immediately after the auction ends, with the remainder of the funds to be paid fully within 5 days. The funds accepted are PayPal, money order, cashier’s check, electronic fund transfer or cash. The Superbee will not be released to the new owner until the full purchase amount has been received by me or my bank/credit union. The buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. I will assist you any way I can with this process, but you will be responsible for setting this up. I will store the car for up to 2 weeks at no charge. The car must be picked up by then or other arrangements must be made. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding. If you have questions, please ask them before the auction ends. Thanks, Ron
