Our daughter bought this car brand new from a local dealer in 2005. She drove it on long commutes from home in Orange County to work in San Diego County, so there are a lot of freeway miles. Our granddaughter has driven the car for the past two years, to and from college. We overhauled the transmission about two years ago. Complete service, including new brakes at 242,191 miles and a new starter and a new battery at 253,405. This car passed the California smog test with no problems this past March; registration is good until March of 2016. It does not burn oil. The engine is strong and runs fine; I have heard of Toyotas lasting hundreds of thousands of miles, and this is one of them. There are no mechanical problems. The air conditioner, radio (AM and FM) and CD player are fine. All of the glass is undamaged. As can be seen from the photos, a new paint job would make this car look like new! Eventually, the engine is bound to wear out, but it shows no signs of doing so. If it ever wears out, an engine rebuild would provide many more miles of use. This car has never been in an accident and in fact, it has never had to be towed! I have maintained the oil changes and other service requirements carefully for my daughter and granddaughter, because I wanted them to be safe. Both girls now have new cars, so we must sell this one. Neither girls or their friends are smokers, so there is no smoke odor inside. There are no fluid leaks (photos show only water puddles since the photos were taken after the car was washed). This car can be picked up at our home in Laguna Niguel (Orange County), CA 92677. The current Kelley Blue Book value (even with the high mileage) is $3,008.00.
