Very nice 1997 BMW 540i. 199k, runs perfectly, stops perfectly. It's a pleasure to drive. It's truly the nicest car I have ever had. It has just about every feature you can think of. Tired have about 80% tread left. Below is everything replaced since I bought the car 3 years ago, as well as every defect. Replaced: Catalytic Converters (2012) Front suspension/rear suspension ball joints (2014) A/C Fan controller (2014) Transmission cooler (2015) Radio faceplate (2012) Radiator overflow container (2014) Drivers side Valve Cover Gasket (2014) 540i badge on back came off in a car wash. Got a M5 one on Ebay to replace it. Front end alignment 2015. Open air filter 2014 Defects: Cruise Control has never worked since I have had the car (I don't care as it's a commuter car for me) Sunroof won't go up or down. I haven't investigated fixing it. I simply don't care about it. There are some dings and scratches on the car. Pretty normal for a car this age Front bumper has a black mark from the car hitting a fence. No dent. License plate holder a little mangled, but no damage to bumper or anything else. There is a minor oil leak. Mechanic told me it was from timing chain cover gasket. I don't have to put any oil in between changes, so I haven't felt the need to address it. In heavy rain, some water gets on the floor in the backseat passenger side. I haven't investigated it further, since it's not happened often, and I have cleaned it up every time after a real hard rain. One of the Angel Eye headlights, the ring doesn't light up like it should. It's not illegal that it doesn't work. It's just bling and I don't care. I tinted the windows in 2014. The drivers door tint came off and I haven't replaced it.
