This bus is truly a one of a kind. I have enjoyed it for 5 years and now it’s time to part ways for newer toys. The bus was purchased as you see it and is sold as is. 4 inch narrowed beam with dropped spindles were installed from Wagons West, to assure that there is no tire rubbing issues and that the bus drives straight as an arrow. Porsche disc brakes installed on all four corners, so it stops on a dime. Polished Porsche wheels are in place to have that cool factor instead of the original smoothies. A straight axle 388 Freeway Flier transmission is installed to push this bus over 70 mph and attached is a no gear reduction box to assure the engine matches the horsepower to the rear wheels. The previous owner said this bus has traveled from San Diego to San Francisco with no problems, but like I said; I’m a military guy who’s been deployed and underway a lot, so the furthest this bus has drove in my possession was from Orange County to San Diego. The previous owner also said, the 1600 dual port engine was newly tuned and valve adjusted was completed prior to sell in 2009. An updated 12 V electrical system was installed to power an XM satellite radio, AM/FM CD player with an iPod hook-up, and a Kicker boom box! There is a gas gauge, battery voltmeter gauge, and oil pressure gauge. I just recently installed a brand new EMPI carburator, so it is running really good. Used seldomly on nice weekend cruises and always garaged. I am in the Coast Guard and purchased this one of a kind bus in 2009. Being mostly deployed, it stayed mostly garaged in Southern California, and from then and now I probably put no more than 5,000 miles on it. It is so fun to drive and I get many heads turned, smiles, and thumbs ups all over town. I have taken it to a few car shows and it tends to get a lot of attention. If I can answer any questions or help in any way, please text/call Martin at (949)462-4533. If I do not answer its probably because I'm deployed out to sea, so PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE! Text is best. Not in a rush to get rid of the bus, seeing what market is like. Not taking any offers under price shown, so please do not haggle or waste your and my time. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! Bus can be seen on request. This is not only a great bus to have, but a classic vehicle that will appreciate and only gain in value. The bus is in San Diego, California and ready to enjoy immediately! Thank you for visiting! On Jul-22-15 at 08:06:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve price has been met, so please make a bid to own this one of a kind dream 21 window microbus! This is an originally manufactured out of Germany VW bus (please verify plates in pictures). This bus will appreciate in price as is and it's an investment. Thank you all for checking her out and happy bidding!
