Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You're looking at a NO RESERVE auction for a Cummins Turbo Diesel powered '96 Chevy Crew Cab Dually with an NV-4500 5-speed manual transmission & NP-241 4-wheel-drive transfer-case. It's got a 6 inch Fab Tech adjustable height lift kit on it, with 35 inch tires. There's a gooseneck hitch in the bed, and a receiver hitch bolted to the frame out back. It runs and drives excellently. Brakes are good, but rotors need to be turned as they pulse when braking hard, tires are miss-matched brands, but are all the same size. The only rust on the truck is just on the outer rocker panels, otherwise it's a very solid truck. There are also some dents & peeling clear-coat (mainly on the hood), otherwise the paint is in presentable shape everywhere else. There's one cracked dually fender flare, but it comes with another one the factory red color and everything... just needs to be switched out. The glass is good, the interior is dusty, but in nice shape. You could hop in this truck and drive it anywhere on a moment's notice. It will cruise down the interstate beautifully, and gets 18-20mpg (even with the big tires & 4.10 gears). The entire conversion was professionally done, and no expenses were spared. The engine was gone through & checked for good compression and exibits zero blow-by, etc. It's a very tight motor. Also, the transmission, transfer case, and axles were all checked out and fluids replaced. There is a brand new ceramic clutch as well. The truck was originally a 6.5 factory diesel, so it reads diesel on the title (and is emissions exempt in all States). This Cummins has about half the miles on it that the truck does, and has a brand new injection pump, which was calibrated 100 horsepower over stock, so it makes really good power, and will roll a little coal, but doesn't belch black smoke (adding fuel to the fire of the hybrid driving diesel-haters). The belts & hoses are good. Engine has a few oil-drips, but isn't a major leaker. Transmission & transfer case have to be topped off periodically as they need their rear shaft seals replaced. Cruise Control A/C, and Tachometer don't work, but everything's there to hook up the AC if one wanted to make it work with the Dodge compressor. There are a few dash lights on, but they are false, such as the "check engine" light". This truck started life as a computer-controlled diesel, but that is no longer the case. The Cummins 6BT engine is perhaps the most reliable and simple on the Planet! No electronics or computer. It's simply a 1-wire hookup, and it lives! By bidding on, or otherwise agreeing to purchase this vehicle, you acknowledge that it is being sold As Is with no warranty. I require a $250.00 deposit within 5 days of auction's end, and remainder of vehicle to be paid for in full within 2 weeks (whether it's picked up yet or not)... unless payment arrangements are made prior to auction's end. Vehicle may be picked up once paid for in full, and funds have cleared. I have a good, clear title in my name which I can scan and send to the buyer. I can be reached afternoons & evenings for an inspection, or test drive, etc (64l) 5l2 5229. Thanks for looking.
