the bike runs like a clock and the paint, tires, mechanical components are in good shape.There are only 4429 miles and about 1600 of those are prior to honing cyl. and lapping valvles but, there are a few flaws. some of the chrome and bits of the frame have a bit of rust. the enamel on a few aluminum parts, but not all, is corroded. the handle bars have the slightest bend on the left handle. This is a 4 valve 652cc single cylinder 5 speed belt drivetrain with electronic ignition and a 40mm mikuni carburetor. It has an exceptionally wide rear tire as you can tell from the pic regarding tire information and the one that has the installed tire's size. There's quite a few chrome and aluminum parts that i took off to polish then reinstalled such as, the belt guard, valve cover trim, both heat shields and the muffler, sissy bar and supports. the valves have been painstakingly lapped and seated. the intake and exhaust ports have been polished and the cylinder has been honed and new rings on the piston. i consider my mechanical knowledge to be considerably sound and plenty qualified for an air cooled single cylinder motorbike. i feel this bike has a substantial amount of life to give an eager owner. this is probably one of the best suited bikes for beginners. The controls are more suited for a person of average height (between 5'5"-5'10") but it can be fitted with extended forward controls if a taller person choses to do so. I used to own the bike that this bikes rear tire,engine, and fuel take come from but in 2012 i wrecked it. so i bought another savage from the local junk yard and used the frame and other things from it to combine into one complete bike. this is the complete bike made from those two bikes. It is built well and all is in functioning order
