READ THE ENTIRE AD! CALL 912-224-3163 WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS! No reserve, starting price is $2k. I will be adding video links of the car including walk around and running/driving. If you are serious about buying you can special request a video that shows what you need to see. Walk Around Video: https://youtu.be/_QwRHSIK7X0Driving Video: https://youtu.be/dEIj6WVVaW8 To some this is just an unfinished car, to others it is absolutely perfect for what they are looking for. Sure there are many many 100% factory correct survivor and restored Fairlanes out there, BUT, they are expensive and out of reach especially if you want a tinker car to modify, and just not as fun as making a cool classic into something that is 100% you! Still, if you are a purist, and want to go the restored route, then this is still your car. Interested? Read on then....Specs: -1963 Ford Fairlane 500-260ci V8-Automatic 2-speed Ford-O-Matic (pan was dropped for inspection, very clean, new fluid put back in)-16" Ford Alloy Wheels (You also get all 4 original steelies w/tires (all hold air) with 3 original hub caps)Nearly every last single thing on this car is factory except for the wheels/tires and air cleaner. So much time, labor, and money has already been invested in new parts, the hard work getting this thing to drive has already been done.New:Brake ShoesWheel CylindersMaster CylinderBrake Hardware and AdjustersFront DrumsStarterBatteryBattery CablesBattery TrayFuel PumpRadiatorShocksTrunk SealCarpet Distributor Cap, Rotor, Points, CondensorExhaustWater Pump and ThermostatTrans FluidAxle LubeGenerator ServicedPurchased and Not Installed:Door sealsBall JointsFlex PlateInterior: The back seat appears to be original, the color matches the interior code so it may very well be. The front seat was completely stripped to the frame by the last owner, which was probably a big favor since that is not easy work. Take it to your local upholstery guy and have new foam and cover done to your taste....OR....install some late model bucket or racing seats! Right now to make it comfortable to drive it has some basic household foam covered by a blanket that looks ridiculously close to what Ford originally put in it.The dash looks great, has working fuel and temp gauge, speedometer, amp meter, it even has the original radio in it although it needs to be serviced to work. The hvac blower isn't working and there is no heater core at the moment. I have a newish headliner for the car that hasn't been installed, there is new black carpet. There are no door panels, but, due to the simple design of the door it would be fall-off-a-log simple and fun to make some for it out of anything from plexiglass to wood, the possibilities are crazy cool and endless! And yes, you could also just buy the boring stock ones ;-) Mechanical bits: Engine/carb/trans/rear end is all stock, runs nicely, likes a little warm up before stabbing the throttle hard, some very light smoke that pretty much goes away once warmed. Generator has been serviced and charges fine, trans pan was r&r'd do to leaky pan gasket, inside of trans looked great. Trim: I have almost all the chrome and trim this car came with. Why "almost"? There is so much of it that it's almost impossible to tell what is present and not. See pictures. I DO NOT have the bumpers...sorry....I had intended on custom fabbing some. Also do not have front door window glass on either side, back door glass is intact. Front and rear windshields are new.Does it drive? Yes...,..and it actually drives pretty good. However since it hasn't been tagged or insured in the short time I have owned it I have put very few miles on it other than a few times up and down my local road to test it out. It starts every time, doesn't get hot, and has some pretty darn good power. Shifting has to be done manually until the trans throttle linkage can be properly sorted. High on my wish list would be a desire for a nice aluminum intake and 4 barrel carburetor to eliminate the antiquated 2 barrel, but the stock setup does its job. Can I drive it "home"? I get asked this every time I sell a car, and the short answer is: You should never drive a classic you just bought over a long distance. Even the very best restorations and builds can leave you on the side of the road, an antique car should always be properly vetted before a road trip. Maybe it will drive perfect, maybe it won't. Don't take the risk, trailer it until you can go through the car thoroughly.SUMMARY: This is a clean and tidy car that hasn't been hacked, modified, or unloved. It is in remarkable but not perfect condition for it's age. There are imperfections, small areas of rust, and still a good bit of work to be done, BUT, trust me when I say you won't find a better car for the money to start with. Most of the tedious work has been done, the canvas is blank with just enough done to show the next owner the possibilities of attitude this car can have. I highly encourage anyone that is interested to come see the car, I could write forever and post a million pictures but nothing replaces being in front of a car to size it up. Title: No title, bill of sale only. Buy it now? Due to the overwhelming amount of false buys that happen on ebay if you would like to do a buy it now, you will have to contact me first. If you look like a reliable buyer I will put up a "buy it now" option for you, but not until then. Currently it is being offered locally for $3600 obo. Vehicle Pick Up: ALL FUNDS MUST CLEAR PRIOR TO PICK UP. NO EXCEPTIONS! IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE A CHECK, CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CHECK, MONEY ORDER, OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN CASH, THEN YOU NEED TO BUDGET THE TIME NEEDED FOR THOSE FUNDS TO CLEAR MY BANK. For example if you roll up on a weekend to pick the car up and have not brought cash and the banks are closed you will go home empty handed. Sorry, too many scams and dishonest people and I don't know you. Cash is 100% accepted, use it.
