Be the talk of your railroad club when you attend meetings and functions in this 1988 GMC P30 Utilimaster/Reading bodied hyrail truck. 350ci V8, TH400 transmission, PS, PB, AM-FM radio, heater, 182,000 miles. New items include: battery, master cylinder and hydroboost unit, tailpipe, and 4 tires with less than 100 miles. With the aluminum cab you won’t have to worry about rust issues. The Reading utility body is in great shape as is the frame and suspension. The truck does not have a (manual) hyrail gear lowering/lifting bar, but that could get you in trouble anyway. Clear PA title in my name. It’s a great 1-ton truck for showing and hauling. These trucks were only made a couple of years, and very few operating units ever found the hands of private owners. The dual safety lights on the roof are not working right now for whatever reason, but I haven’t tried to troubleshoot the issue since I don’t need them to work. Whether you’re going to a club function, Lowes, Home Depot or just cruising, this truck will do it in railroad style. The starting price is about the value of the Hyrail wheels and tires, and the railgear. Selling it just to get something my wife will drive.
