Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1956 Chevy 3100 (shortbed, small rear window) pickup. I originally bought the truck several years back as a parts truck for my '55 pickup. I never intended to make it a driver and have run out of time to bring it any further. This is a project truck as it needs a few things to make it ready for the road. Starts right up but it runs a little rough as it has only been moved in and out of its garage space for the last several years. It will need to be trailered home as it needs a provided wiring kit installed to provide all electrics. I have wired up a temporary starting system so that the truck could be moved around. It has a Camaro front clip, SBC V8, new headers with dual exhaust and Flowtech Turbo mufflers, power steering, power brakes (front disks/rear drums), under the bed car fuel tank, TH 400 transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. It has new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires and chrome reverse wheels with baby moon hub covers. While the body and the paint are nice condition - it is not show quality. With minimal time/effort, it will make a decent driver. Truck is sold "AS IS" and for local pickup only (no shipping). WHAT IT NEEDS: - Wiring completion - It has a new wiring kit (20 circuit Wiring EZ harness) that needs to be installed (no lights, gauge hookups, etc.). Original wiring has been completely removed. I have wired up a temporary starting system so that the truck can be started and moved around the yard. - Right front quarter panel - Needs repair as seen in photo. A replacement lower panel is included. - Interior - I have put in a set of buckets, an emergency brake and a B&M floor shifter but that is a far as it goes for the interior. - Door windows - The windows are currently out of the truck. The window frames have been repainted and the glass is good. The vent window rubber, glass and hardware has been replaced. I have new window channel rubber and wiskers, window crank regulators/rollers, inside window cranks and door handles. - A number of other parts provided such as original radio, heater and other misc. items.
