Custom 1978 Volvo 240 Wagon Turned Pickup Truck Owned by a Swedish auto repair shop, this California car was custom built in 1997. Since then, the mechanic has been the only owner. Apart from some of the obvious modifications, here are the details: * Upgraded to a rebuilt 2.3 litre with 2.1 cylinder Volvo engine 6 years ago * Only between 10 to 20,000 miles on the rebuilt motor * IPD suspension and lowering kit including springs, shocks, and swaybars - handles like a sports car * 3 row radiator (bigger cooling system) * AW automatic transmission (lockup) * Old school racing rims with new tires (195 55 15) * Recent new fuel pump and alternator * Custom exhaust (passed smog) * Pickup bed all steel welded with custom rollbar and rear sliding window * Registration good until January 2016 * Runs very well (exhaust has a nice rumble) The car has some common issues for its age: * Odometer reads around 80k but it only works intermittently so actual mileage on the car is unknown * AC has been removed and heater disconnected * Paint is showing some wear but it still looks good * California car with minimal superficial rust.
