I am selling my 1984 Vanagon Westy, I have converted the engine to a 1988 16 valve Jetta motor.. It has about 3000 miles on a full rebuild with a transmission that was built by Mike at Import Transmissions in Wa and has only 2500 miles on it.I put KYB adjustable gas shocks on a fours.I put 16" Mercedes wheels with Fuzion HRI tires 205/60/16 in great shapeI built custom bumpers both front and back, complete with diamond plate and lights.(in front)I installed a dual battery system thats hooked up to the steering column so it charges as it goes, you dont have to worry about a switch or anything.EVERYTHING WORKS.. fridge, stoves, sink, propane, Everything.I put in a nice stereo with speakers and a remote.New brakes on all fours.The paint job is called Platic Dip, it is slightly thicker than paint but can be removed like a sticker, very cool.The color is called Black/Blue so in the shade it looks more flat black but in the sun its a super dark blue (almost dark purple) looks really great.It has a slide out center bench that is awesome when we camp, we slide it out and set it by the fire and have a nice couch to sit on.I just replaced the alternator and power steering pump with all new wiring to the battery.I can deliver it from Utah to Cali(San Fran- Monterey)Just took it on a sweet road trip and it did great.All beds are in great shape, tables as well.All storage is perfect, chairs swivel and set up wonderfully.Racks on top, with basket.Curtains work great, I have a bug screen for the back so you can leave the back open on a cool night.
