This is the last of the great ALH, easily tuned, bullet proof, inexpensively maintained VW TDI Diesels. This Jetta Wagon has the coveted 5 speed manual and is loaded with leather interior, sunroof, heated seats, Monsoon premium audio, and alloy wheels. I am the second owner of this Jetta Wagon and it was originally titled in California. I have owned it in New Mexico since 2012, so it has absolutely zero rust anywhere. The body and undercarriage are clean. The engine and transmission are completely leak-free. The timing belt and water pump were done 35,000 miles ago-good for another 65,000 miles. The A/C works perfectly. It cruises at 75 to 85 mph and gets 45 mpg easily. I have cleaned the intake manifold, replaced the camshaft and lifters, installed new coolant expansion tank, replaced the glow plug harness for an intermittent resistance fault, and performed a full service-new fuel, air, cabin, and oil filters with Pentosin 5W-40 VAG specification 505.02 diesel engine oil-that's the stuff they use to fill the crankcases at the factory. The struts and shocks are top of the line Bilstein HD, I replaced the stock fuel injector nozzles also using Bosio Sprint 442/706 injector nozzles. The engine runs strong and I routinely achieve 45 mpg combined driving. I have changed the transaxle lube, using full synthetic gear lube. Shifting the gears is silky smooth and there are no noises. The tires have 35,000 miles on them and they are the OEM Michelin Energy MXV4-very quiet and very comfortable cruising at 90mph all day long. The brakes on front and rear axles are above 50% and work great. Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you, other than this is a great car and I love it. The only reason I am selling is because I want something with more rear seat and cargo room and am considering a Passat Wagon-hoping for an older one with the AZ motor. My fiancé and I are hoping to have children next year and since I already have one, putting two or more in a Jetta wagon with all their gear will get crowded. Good luck bidding.
