WIDE-BODY S2000 2001 Honda s2000, Motor is knocking, I am not a mechanic so I cant tell you what the problem is. It is a knock that seems to be coming from the bottom of the motor, and only knocks when idling and under back pressure. When I rev the engine the knock becomes nearly non-existent. I have been told that these symptoms usually are that of a spun bearing. Compression checked and all 4 cylinders within healthy factory spec. Yes, motor still runs and functions normally other than the knock. Car is plated, tagged and insured still. Title is clean. Wide-body kit on the rear, veilside style front bumper & side skirts. Convertible soft top in good condition,  Latches are a bit loose from age, can be clamped at an offset to seal completely without any wind noise or latch rattle. Body kit has some small cracks in areas from age. The front bumper has several chips. . Head gasket blew @ 116k, motor was professionally rebuilt bottom to top with all OEM parts. Trans shifts excellent, clutch was replaced @ rebuild with ACT stage 2. All gaskets were replaced at rebuilt. Water pump was replaced, and most importantly the timing chain & guides were replaced. The motor mounts were changed. Suspension bushings changed roughly 5k ago. Oil was changed @ 200 miles into rebuild, then 2100 miles later. Oil is 10w-30 genuine Honda oil from dealership. Trans oil is Honda genuine. Car is lowered with tein springs. Has an AEM cold air intake with a K&N filter. Falken tires have 1000 miles. Full magnaflow exhaust, has a very loud aggresive sound to it. Seats have been swapped for beige seats. Driver side seat shows wear on left lumbar. Driver side seat belt does not always retract. Holes were cut in the doors for tweeters, one of the tweeters blew so both were removed. There are existing holes in both doors with a cover over each (check pictures). Mugen short shifter. Stock radio, CD player works and speakers work. No accidents with clean car fax. No body rust, check the under car pictures. I know the previous owner so I know this car has been taken care of before me.
