NO RESERVE 1995 Mercedes R129 SL 500 Up for auction is this clean Sl500. Engine runs great and uses no oil. All drive train components work as they should and transmission shifts smoothly. Interior and exterior are very clean for a 20 year old vehicle as you can see in the photos. Tires have 80% of tread life remaining. The hard top is in very good condition. Issues with the car are soft-top needs to be replaced (all of the linkage and automatic hydraulics for the soft-top work fine and are intact). Passengers side window is noisy going up and down , maybe a motor has come loose. The Carfax for this car shows a possible odometer roll back, this is due to the DMV entering the mileage wrong on the title when the car was registered in 2013. The mileage advertised is the actual mileage. The support struts for the trunk lid (that hold the trunk open) are weak and should be replaced. And last, the radio amplifier output to the rear speakers isn’t working. With a little more TLC this car would be complete and fully restored.
