This fresh from the estate 1961 Volkswagen bus has passenger side cargo doors and is in original white paint under that patina of rust# It was sold to and used by a dry cleaning company so there's a clothes rack along the drivers wall that will need to be removed and their advertising can still be seen on the side###Pleasing Particular People, Pond's Dry Cleaning & Laundry#There's some rust along the cargo door as seen in the photos# The body is nice and straight and the bones of the driver's seat remains intact# The key is still in the ignition and the original gas tank key is still with the bus! All the information we find tells us that this bus is a 1961 but evidence is pointing to it being a 1963...the louvers are cut in rather than out, the front turn signals are flat. But both the engine mount chassis plate and the body plate behind the passenger seat read as follows:15 3425UH2113 1084610We don't know anything about Volkswagens. This came with just a bill of sale and was represented as a 1963 when we bought it but all our research on the above numbers lead us to believe that it's a '61.
