Thank you! 1964 OLSMOBILE STARFIRE Please read the complete description below I am pleased to offer this 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire Hardtop at no reserve. I want you to pay close attention to the description because this Starfire is full of good, bad and great and I will carefully discuss what I think are the highlights. I always say get the bad out of the way so here goes. Rust – yes this Starfire has rust. Please look carefully at the rear trunk pan. This of course can be repaired with a new pan and I might suggest one from a similar time period Chevy as they looked the same. There are pin holes in the body mostly around the rear window and sail panels. There is pitting on the chrome. It has been repainted the wrong color. Should I go on? Ok the good. The interior is very nice. It lacks a headliner but all of the bowes are in place. The door panels are spectacular as the stainless is near flawless – no dents, dings or even scratches. The seats are really good, not perfect but look at the detail. The dash is good with just minor cracks in the dash top. The carpet is excellent. Saving the best for last, this Starfire is one of the best equipped cars that you will find. I do not believe anything has been molested. It is equipped with factory A/C, cruise control, power windows, tach, center console and power seat. The radio may not be original and the steering wheel is from a Toronado. It is however a tilt unit. This Starfire does have the 394 V8 and runs. I awoke this car from a long slumber and it does amazingly well. It if sits for a week or so one must prime it to start. I have only driven it around the house so I cannot tell you about how it does at speed. Again very complete. The wheels are 15 inch and should be 14 inch. The tires are good but way wrong for this car. In the trunk you will find numerous parts. I have pictured them separately. There are seven original wheel covers and I think what is the original spare. I truly believe this is a great opportunity to resurrect one of GM’s great cars or just drive it and call it a rat rod.
