Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my '63 Thunderbird. It runs great. I recently drove it over 100 miles and the car ran very well. The 390 engine was previously rebuilt by the prior owner, and the transmission was professionally serviced - i have many papers and receipts for the work done. It has new front steering components including tie rod ends. It steers very well. It has front disc brakes that work incredible - it can stop on a dime. All gages work great except the clock - i'm sure it can be fixed by a clock maker. Dash lights work, door lights, and dome lights all work correctly. The interior seems to be a mix from a couple '63 Tbirds. It is complete, and the power windows front and rear work very well - the previous owner must have had an issue with the original switches - since there is an aftermarket black switch box on the center console. After examining it I observed that the original holes were used and so could easily be returned to original style if correct switches are obtained. The windshield wipers work great, including variable speed depending on how much you rotate the dash dial. The headliner is in good shape. Mechanically, the car is solid. It can definitely use some cosmetic work here and there to take it to the next level in restoration. But, it can be very much enjoyed just as it is. This car has a lot of torque, its exhilarating to drive. I noticed it has intake and valve covers from a post 64 390 FE. I did not check on the engine block code, it is possible its the original block. I'm not sure. The car comes with many extra parts - included in the sale are (2) sets of front fenders and doors. one set is from a 61-62 tbird, the other set is from a 63 tbird. So, if the buyer wants he could convert this car to a 61-62 if he wanted. Included is left and right rear wheel skirts in very good condition. Also incluced is an extra front chrome bumper in good shape. The car has minor, isolated rust locations. as seen in the photos, the front passenger side fender has rust at the bottom - but shouldn't be a problem with the included extra set of front fenders. Also, there are a couple of locations at the lower corners of the decklid near the rear window that show some bubbling and rust. The window frame looks great. Otherwise, the car is very solid and the floorpans appear to have no rust at all. The car has a clean title, and current california registration. It will likely cost less than $100 for new owner registration. I have the clean title. I received this car in trade, and had considered doing a full restoration and make this car awesome. But just have too many projects at the moment and i decided something has to go. At no additional charge, I can make myself available to personally drive it to any train station from Downtown LA to San Diego. I will not pay for other additional transportation services, but I will assist where I can. On May-20-15 at 21:16:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add a few items that i didn't previously include: VIN is 3Y83Z119899. It has a very nice sounding dual exhaust exhaust system.
