Vehicle Detail
1995 Taurus SHO. Purchased fall of 2014. Will soon be moving and I have 5 vehicles. Unfortunately, three will have to go. The car is very clean for its age and unmolested. The manual transmission was a rebuilt unit purchased from Ford Performance Specialists in Mableton, Ga. Has roughly 1500 miles on it since install. At that time a lightweight billet flywheel from SHOsource and a stock Valeo clutch were replaced as well. This car sat inside a garage for thirteen years as a result of the first transmission failing and I have had to do A LOT to get it where it is. New since September 2014: Battery, alternator, radiator, pads, rotors, calipers, rod bearings, brake lines (every single one) and hoses, Michelin defender 90k warranty tires, Crank position sensor, front struts, complete exhaust with Borla mufflers, and much more im sure im forgetting. The car runs and drives excellent, sounds great, and has plenty of power. Everything I have touched was replaced with the very best parts I could find. The body has NO rust but does have a few minor imperfections as shown in the pictures. The things that need attention are: The cruise control does not work and the A/C needs new lines and a charge to operate, and I broke the upper timing cover installing the new crank sensor. Timing belt has clearly been replaced but the car comes with a brand new Gates complete timing belt and idler kit as well as a new water pump, so you will have it when the repairs come due. I have invested roughly $9000 into this car to bring it back to the sporty all-American sleeper car it was when new. I have no doubt the right person will be very happy with it and it will be a pleasure to own for many years to come, as that is what I had planned on doing with it. If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Car has a clean Michigan title in my name, and is still being pleasure driven so the miles may increase slightly.
