1995 Lotus Esprit Turbo S4 Hand built by Lotus in Hethel, Norfolk, England. I have title in hand. I have a folder of documentation from parts to service performed. Low mileage, only 42,800 miles. Limited production exotic. Sticker price in 1995 was $74,000. This is a mid engine car. Colin Chapman was the founder of Lotus. His philosophy was that a great handling car HAD to be lightweight. That is why they used a 4 cylinder turbo, on a lightweight fiberglass/Kevlar body and aluminum frame. The later introduced V8's lost the handling and where actually slower. This model year had one of the highest horsepower engines as it evolved from the 80's. This car is sharp! Definitely a show car. Nothing beats the gorgeous timeless lines of this British classic. This car is very fun to drive as it's handling is second to none even by todays standards. Stunning torch red with tan leather interior. Exterior is very bright red that is very glossy. Interior leather is in excellent condition as well. Wheels are excellent as well. Tires have at least 75 percent tread and are in excellent condition. Car starts right up as it should, and runs perfectly. Clutch, brakes, and steering feel good. Shifts smoothly.Turbo spools correctly to proper boost. All in all, the car is in excellent condition and needs nothing. Just a new home. All the photos are of the actual vehicle being sold. Exhaust pipe was changed to the later V8 style which had rear center exit, along with valence. Expertly done. Looks great. I also have the stock muffler, exhaust tip, and valence which can be easily bolted back on if you wish a stock look that is a little quieter. All belts where replaced 1500 miles ago including the timing belt. Oil, filter, coolant was all changed as well. Flywheel, and clutch replaced recently. Not while I owned car, but I have the documentation. Chassis/Body: Rigid steel zinc-coated backbone chassis, composite bodywork with seating for two. Fuel System: Fuel tank capacity: 19.3 gallons. Fuel requirements: Premium unleaded. Self-balancing dual fuel tanks, capacity 19.3 gallons Front Suspension: Independent by upper and lower wishbones, with revised anti-roll bar, coil springs and telescopic dampers. Power steering (PAS) fitted as standard. Rear Suspension: Independent by upper and lower transverse links, with radius arms, coil springs and telescopic dampers. Aluminum hub carriers. Brakes: Dual circuit, full power actuated with three channel anti-lock brakes (ABS). 10.2" dia ventilated front discs. 10.8" dia solid rear discs. Wheels: New 5-spoke alloy design, 17" diameter. 7j front and 8.5j rear rim sizes. Tyres: Unique Goodyear Eagle GS-A asymetric. Front: 215/40ZR 17 Rear: 245/45 ZR 17 Performance: Maximum speed: 165 mph 0 - 60 mph: 4.7 seconds 0 - 100 mph: 11.9 seconds Fuel Economy: EPA City driving 17 mpg EPA Highway driving 27 mpg Width: 73.5" Height: 45.3" Length: 172" Wheelbase: 96" kerb weight: 1339kg Unladen weight: 1320kg PS: That "grade" given and car history report is BS. It is because there where 5 owners. So what? This is an exotic that are rarely driven and are kept in a garage under cover most of the time. Its in perfect condition. That mileage discrepancy in AZ is nonsense because I have several reports that show all mileage reported and it all looks good and makes sense. Somebody entered something wrong. It happens all the time. It is frustrating. Those reports are in so much error, they need to be taken with a grain of salt. This car is well cared for and it shows. I had many esprits and this is actually in much better condition than others I have had with 25k or so miles. Down payment $1000 must be made via paypal within 24 hours.
