1986 Pontiac Fiero GT I bought my Fiero 5 years ago from the original (protective) owner with just over 40,000 miles on the odometer. He informed me at that time he always stored it inside and never drove it in the winter or even in the rain as he always checked the weather before driving it. He was indeed a Fiero crazy man!! I also have always stored the car inside and driven it in the summer but I will say…I have been caught in the rain a few times while out driving…but this was very rare. This car is awesome and a total blast to drive…It runs and drives excellent and you would never know you are in a 1986 vehicle when you are zipping down the road. I am not claiming that this car is perfect, as there is a stone chip or two in the paint but it is in excellent condition (Rust free and clean inside and out) The previous owner took out the ash tray inserts because he didn't want any smoking in the car…this is a "Smoke Free" car. The interior is near perfect with no rips and smells clean in the cabin. The car fires right up... runs and drives perfect with the 4 speed manual shifting excellent! Power Windows and Locks all work as they should. New tires, brakes were all done at 40,000 which were all original when I purchased it. The AC has been completely switched over to the new style and blows so cold you can wear a winter coat in the summer! The radio works fine but will need a new internal battery to hold the preset stations and time as they are lost if the car sits without running. Last year I had the clutch replaced (requires the engine to be dropped) by mechanics that work for me at my business. When the engine was out we replaced anything that needed to be done (value cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, ERG tube, complete tune up including all wires) My colored blind mechanic repainted the intake for me but did it in chevy orange (wasn't happy) but it's an easy fix if you so choose. This is truly a sad day for me since I really love this car but my fun is done and it's time to move it one to someone else. The pictures tell the story…she is nice!
