Vehicle Detail

This is a 1987 Porsche 944 with a 5 speed manual transmission with a clean title. The wheels are the centerpiece of the car. They are 18" SSR GT3s with Michelin Pilot Sports ZR18/40/225s all around. Color on car is a Ferrari Fly Yellow. Paint is 7/10. It does have some scratches and nicks in it but it's also 28 years old. This car has very low miles for a 1987. Only 11,000 miles have been put on the car in the last 10 years. Front license plate has been shaved along with the bumperettes. Front bumper has also been compressed. Turbo rear valance under spoiler was also installed. I just installed a brand new battery last week as well. Climate control is bad but it's only $50 on ebay. Back seats are not there. I don't have the key for the wheels but a locksmith can do it for about $100. Car corners extremely well at high speeds and shifts perfectly. Windshield wipers work, turn signals light up, both head lights come up in front nicely. Engine is a 2.5 Liter and very fuel efficient. Stereo is an Alpine CDA-7893 with JBL Grand Touring speakers. JBL 200 and 600 watt amps powering a JL 12w6 Subwoofer. There are two amps custom mounted and hidden in the spare tire wheel well that power the stereo. Sunroof comes off in about 10 seconds for a nice ride in summertime. Still have original owners manual as well. Electric windows work perfectly. At 85,000 miles the following was done: Clutch was redone and it shifts very smoothly. New timing belt, fresh valves and springs. New power steering pump, both C.V. joints and coolant reservoir. New Weltmeister throttle cam, new distributor cap and rotor, and all vacuum lines redone. Mechanically the car is in awesome shape. Never any problems with stalling, engine noise, etc. At 95,000 miles a new Gear Shifty Lever was installed (tightened up the shift nicely), a new Coolant pump, and new motor mounts.New hydrolic shocks for the hood and latch. The car has a crack in the dash and some small ones as well but very typical of this year Porsche. There are some scratches an the car noticeable when you are up close but from 10 feet away it looks great. There is a small crack in a back brake light. There are some tears in the seats but they are taped up and they look good. Carpet is real clean all through the car from the back trunk area to the floors. Tint on back window should be redone but very cheap fix. Car has had about $10,000 put into it in the last couple of years and it's extremely reliable and fun to drive. We are out of room in our garage and are moving so it's time to pass on this piece of history to another driver. Custom air intake with K&N Filter. The car handles extremely well around corners and is very fun to drive. Email with any questions you may have. This is a great piece of German engineering and I have a very low reserve. You will not find a better price out there for another 944. Good luck bidding.
