1965 JAGUAR S TYPE SALOON RECENTLY DISCOVERED AND OUT OF 30 YEARS DRY STORAGE br> 1964 Jaguar S Type Saloon , just removed from dry storage after 30 years and presented in "as found" condition .This old Jag was found slumbering in the carriage house of a suburban Boston estate where it had been resting since the 1980's untouched . Original opalescent blue exterior with navy leather interior . Complete , unmolested and very original with lots of patina . Looks in general to be all factory original , just the way it was delivered decades ago from Coventry England but does need some attention . Overall a straight original body with minimal rust and good chassis . Floors , sills and boot (trunk) area all appear solid, the only significant rust we find is in the area behind the front bumper and the front cross member , and a couple of bubbles in paint . It has what appears to be all original interior . Still in its original colors , it likely had one exterior repaint and a touchup or two prior to storage . Original matching number engine we have not touched in any way , and will be sold the same . Likely will require startup work and general refurbishing of brakes , hydraulics , most operating systems , etc . and will require most general restoration work you would expect for a car sitting unused for an extended period . These are great , high quality period sporting sedans with their iconic XK powerplant , and with an abundant and relatively reasonable parts availability and a great following and enthusiast support they are one of few entry level British classic cars left .
